Not as good as I had thought
I know this manufacturer is very well renowned, however I am disappointed in this product. As a trowel in unencumbered soil it works very well but as soon as roots appear it struggles badly.I wasn't actually expecting it to be a rapier in the soil, yet what disappointed me were the truly totally blunt sides and front, which meant that it is pretty much useless at digging through small/medium roots. For most whom only want to evacuate some light soil for planting, then I would say this would be a very reliable and robust purchase and I have no doubt that it will work for many many years, for me it just failed on finding small roots.

Sturdy but expensive
good quality steel, sturdy and have tried using it to fill around 22 planters today. easy to wash up after use. dries quickly in a moderate temperature weather. but the price is higher compared to other brands.

Solid budget hand trowel
For the money i would recommend the Spear and Jackson hand trowel. Although slightly more than oher non brand options, it is still good value and is well made. It has been put through some tough tests in the garden and has held up well and i feel it will continue to do so.

Good for gardening
For the price is is great if you are looking for something cheap to do the job.I personally use this for detecting and have found difficulty in dry, tough mud, however if it is for some simple gardening then it would be a good option

I recommend
Very good quality product. Durable and solid. Holds well in your hand. I think it will be enough for a good few seasons. I am happy with my purchases. Better to pay 2 pounds more than buy something cheaper every year and overpay.
