I thought about getting a bench press at home, and after looking at the prices, decided to look one at a garage sale. Time went by, still looking. I decided to give this a try, a temporary alternative I thought. Lo and behold I am using this thing each and everyday for 5-10 minutes lift workouts. It is even enjoyable and I don't even have to force myself to use it. I filled it with sand after going to a camping trip near Bodega bay. No need to buy at a home depot, but you can if you want. The sand was a little wet, but so far there are no leaks from the bag, the velcro is closed shut very well. I am doing the lighter bag for now, but it is enough for me, I only weight 140 pounds. Bag is very well made and material is thick and sturdy. The exercise sheet is a really nice touch, so I don't have to think what to do, just follow along the pictures and steps in it. I don't even know if I need that bench press anymore. This beast is all in one for me, I squat with it, lift it, do bench presses. It does the job well, and for this price, I am happy that I ended up purchasing it instead of wasting time looking for used equipment or shelling out $800 for new equipment.

I used this to carry 22lbs for a 5k run. The straps were good placement and after a couple hundred feet it formed around my shoulders and then was comfortable. Definitely going to use again

This bag definitely adds versatility to my workouts. It's a pain to change out the sand inside for different weight, but not much different than changing plates on a barbell. I'm getting older, and this adds a different kind of workout, and gets me away from the weight set and into the back yard. Very durable! I used play sand to add weight. The only thing I would change is to have inner sand bags to be in 10 pound increments for even more versatility. I recieved on larger inner bag, and one smaller inner bag. Basically two different weights.

1st sandbag, great quality! Hopefully it lasts more than a couple months - but thus far, it works.

I just filled this bag with 40 pounds of sand and went for a slow, hilly, 3-mile jog. I would alternate carrying it on my shoulders, overhead at full arm extension, and in a tight curl against my chest. Along the way, I would stop and do front squats, thrusters, and rotational deadlifts. I had a different sandbag before, but left that one outside for too many months, and it suffered. I thought that I liked that one - until I used this one by PolyFit. It is WAY better. I know I love it because I am already looking forward to the next chance I will have to take another run with it. I think sandbag workouts will become a regular thing for me, whereas they have not been in the past.What makes this bag so good? I could say it is tough, and well-constructed, with reinforced stitching, etc. But all sandbags are like that. What sets this one apart is the design, not only of the outer and inner bag closures, but also of the 8 handles that seem perfectly placed. And gripping them is easy and comfy. And the bag seems to have just a TOUCH of flex in the straps (when carrying the bag overhead and jogging, for example), which makes it more challenging and fun, while going easier on the wrists and elbows. It is pretty easy to get the sand in the inner bags, and also pretty easy to get those in the main bag. There is no question that the sand is locked in there - it's not going to leak at all thanks to the double velcro seal. I also noticed is that I did not lose any skin on my fingers or hands from scraping against the bag on the run, like I used to. Nor did my arms or hands become numb from carrying it on my shoulders - again, I attribute this to the excellent placement of the handles.Overall, I am extremely happy with this sandbag. It seems like it will last a good long time, too.

The medium and small have the same outside measurements. The LxWxH stock photo comparison is misleading. I’ve had the medium for a few years and wanted the small for for other things without needing to add/remove the internal bags. The only thing different is the internal bags they come with.For the price, it’s not a dealbreaker. I was expecting a smaller bag though. I just packed the small bag with old towels to fill the extra space.I haven’t tested the durability. i.e. throwing, dropping, tossing, etc.Bottom line, they are good for the price and can really help to mix up a workout with functional strength.

The polyfit sandbags are outstanding. They have become my number one item in my home gym. The only recommendation I can make is simply a personal preference but I think the handle grips would be better with different type of material. Also, adding handle grips on the ends of each sandbag would be great in making it more versatile when executing different movements. Again, no criticism, simply personal preference. Regardless, still my favorite gym item.
