Fits very well and thanks to another reviewer I put it in just like he did. Easy enough to do myself. I put it on the screen tracks instead of the door tracks, that way allows me to close the glass door completely and lock it. So easy and appears sturdy enough. It could have better insulation strips but that's an easy fix. Very happy

We occasionally look after our daughters dog. In her house the dog uses a permanently installed doggie door. We didn't want the cost, or other issues with such a door. This door works well, can be easily removed and the re-installed in a matter of a minute or two.I am not sure that it would do a great job of keeping the weather out if it was totally exposed but for us - it opens onto a patio - and it works really well.

I moved to FL and my new apartment has an entirely screened in porch/deck, so I wanted this pet door for my cats (they used a similar one when we stayed a few months with my parents, who have a small dog and a 3 season porch at their home). This was easy to set up and now, my cats only come in to eat LOL. Two small negatives that having nothing to do with the quality of this door, but buyers should keep in mind. 1) I had to remove the locking mechanism (installed in the wall) for the sliding glass door in order to install the pet door. Not an issue for me because unless the burglar is Spider-Man, no one is breaking into my 7th floor apartment from the deck. But if you live on the first floor, this could be a problem for you. 2) My building was built in the 90s, so nothing is square/level. That makes installation a little tricky and the pet door is never 100% flush with the slider. I need to go to the hardware store and buy some foam or weather stripping that can seal the gap. Again this is by no means a defect of the door or its design, but it is a consideration and another purchase I have to make in order to use the door... or pay the price by air-conditioning the outdoors in FL in July.
