Great rod
Got this to pair with daiwa tatula 100. Going to use it mostly for finesse baits. Very happy with it

Awesome rod, a little on the lighter action side but I've caught 15# sheepshead and no issues.The shipping was horrible, nothing but a box to protect the rod and it fit super loose so it was bouncing around inside, for 120$ I assumed it would have been better protected.

I love the rod
I wish you shipped in a shipping tube for rods because box was bend and torn some. But the rod was fine and I`m very happy

Poor packing
Dobyns rods are great light, balanced and sensitive but I do not recommend buying one here, was shipped in thin cardboard box and the box was crushed. Amazingly the rod was not broke just two bent eyes. Every rod I have ordered elsewhere has been shipped in a heavy duty shipping tube

Great rods at a great price
The rod I received was not the one I ordered and I almost returned it! I figured I might as well use it once before sending it back. That's all it took, I was in love.I've bought two more rods (elsewhere) since receiving the "wrong rod" from amazon.I highly recommend Dobyns Rods!

Excellent rod
Excellent rod that does not break the bank. Sensitive enough, but with plenty of backbone. Finally I don't have to be afraid of lilypads. I think the tip may be ever so slightly of the line, but in practice I did not notice any problems.

Not Med-Heavy
In the description Amazon lists this as medium-heavy power. This is Heavy rod. I'm keeping it since it's still a really nice rod but disappointed it's not what I thought I ordered based on the description.

Bang for your buck
For the money its almost impossible to beat. Great for big worms, jigs and small swimbaits, and has the backbone to handle giants. Handled the 11lber with no problem. Will definitely be buying several more.

High Performance Rod at a Bargain Price
This is my 3rd Heavy/Fast Dobyns Fury Rod.I use them for all top water Bass bait presentations and especially froggin.I have two paired with Lews Pro Ti’s and one with a Zillion HD.I use 50Lb Power Pro braid on all three reels.This rod is light, strong and so far durable.The fast tip is great for hook sets and the heavy action has lots of back bone when the rod loads up.The cork grip on the handle is very comfortable in hand.You could pay a lot more for another brand but why bother when the cost benefit equation on a Dobyns Fury rod is so good?..I strongly recommend you keep your equipment in Rod/Reel Gloves to protect during travel.
