Very Good with an Additional Accessory
Nearly everything about this radio is good; tuning, ease of use and (unusually) the sound with the supplied headphones.Except.........the volume control on the ‘phones doesn’t work and the volume control on the set goes: (0) = nil, (1) = barely there, (2) = deafening. It’s the same with other makes of ‘phones with volume control. Clearly, that circuit has no means to recognise the volume control on the ‘phones.Such a shame, if only somebody had actually tested the prototype properly before signing off on manufacture.Update 30th July: there’s hope yet! I have been trying to use this otherwise rather good DAB+ radio and discovered the one can get an inline volume control connector, a discreet ear buds extension lead with a tiny volume knob. It’s only about £4, not on Amazon, unfortunately, and I have ordered one.Watch this space!Sat Aug1st: yep it works a treat! So pleased that I can now use this radio without damaging my hearing. Not quite in the sensitivity as Pure, but highly useable, best reception upstairs, outdoors or at least by a window.Wholesalers please take note: put the inline volume flylead in with the supplied accessories and you’ve got a winner.

Plug 'n' Play.
Have you got patience? I haven't.Do you love plug 'n' play? I do.Unpacked it in about 10 seconds, plugged the earphones and turned it on.Sound quality nearly blew my eyeballs out! Set it to 1 or 2!Usual DAB features and already tuned to BBC World Service.. How does it know I like that?It worked in the Mall, on the bus and even in the hospital core! It's plugged into my laptop now, having a charge..Its surface doesn't show any greasy finger marks, just this sleek matt black look.Highly recommend for functionality, looks and value for money.

Small but perfectly formed.
WOW!!! The i-box DAB radio arrived earlier than expected. I plugged in the earphones, turned it on, the radio scanned for channels and I picked the channel I wanted. I was up and running in less than five minutes.I’m a musician and totally addicted to music of all kinds and I’m extremely fussy when it comes to sound quality and the sound quality is outstanding. I took a gamble with this and I’m glad I did. I’ve been hearing things in that I never knew existed in songs that I’ve been listening to for years. It certainly is a welcome addition to my lunchtime (weight loss) walks. It’s small, light, great build quality, easy to read screen in daylight or at night, even for someone with failing eyesight. I’ve also had over 10 hours of playing time with one single charge. This little beauty ticks every box at a very competitive price. I love it!!!Treat yourself, you’ll be glad you did.

This could be a very good buy
OK so I have always had digital pocket radios of various brands since they came on the market.I like the Blighty Radio very much but the press-toggle controls are prone to missing a press after about 2 years. Roberts pocket DAB never let me down but if you do a lot of work, bending, lifting etc, it is a bit bukly. I ruined mine by squashing the phono input into the radio when bending and lifting. Pure are virtually indestructible but after a long time the phono socket wears out and now all the above are quite expensive to buy.So I flashed out on this cheap one and I can`t fault it after 2 months. It seems to have a strong casing. It is not bulky. It doesn`t have a lock facility and if you unconsciously press on it when moving around as much as do, it changes to FM mode. The headphones are excellent. Battery life is enough for a whole day`s listening to TMS!

No lock button so no good for outdoor work
Radio is good value & easy to useBut as I have to put the radio in my pocket as I work outdoors, the buttons get pressed by accidentThe mode button is on the top of the radio so frequently gets altered between FM & DABThe volume buttons & the mute button are also easily pressed by accident in the pocketIf it had a lock button then it would be 5 starsJust that one little thing makes a huge difference
