Love it. Have installed several, almost didn't buy - ignore bad reviews on other sites
I love the sleek look of this set and the great way the control handle and plate screw onto the valve and draw tight against the wall with the included square rubber seal - no caulking necessary and better yet, no screws or set screws to deal with or showing! Yes they are nickel covered plastic but I'm alright with that.People's complaint - tub spout leaked into wall cavity causing major damage. Of course their installer blamed it on 'bad product'. I will almost guarantee you the installer did what I did with the first (of 3) of these that I have installed. Backed the set screw out too far and the pieces all fell out. In my first one I almost didn't notice the second white washer (it fell and rolled away). To put it back together (no instructions from Kohler), follow the pictures below, white washer first, 'O' ring next, white washer next, 2-piece clamp last. I used tweezers (my fingers are too fat) to hold one side of clamp while carefully lowering it down into place. Then turn in the set screw just enough to hold it all in place. Prep your copper pipe end by smoothing the cut edge so it doesn't gouge the rubber 'o' ring, then push the spout into place. I added some lubricant to the end of the copper pipe but it looks like Kohler has lubricant on the O-ring but I'm always over cautious.Another big complaint on other sites was water coming out the shower head while you are trying to fill the bathtub. I almost didn't buy these because of that complaint and on the second one I installed, yep, that happened. Oh wait, when I installed the valve into the wall the lighting was bad and I accidently installed the valve upside down. Water dribbled out of the shower head when turning the valve on to fill the tub. Realized my mistake, flipped valve, no water coming out shower when filling tub. Note - tub spout is heavy, 2 pounds of solid brass with a nickel plating.I recently returned a Moen 'Darcy' set before switching to this set to use in a 2"X3" wall installation (instead of the standard 2"X4" construction). Last photo. The Kohler valve can be used in the narrower cavity, the Darcy handle would have protruded way to far out with the deeper valve Moen uses.

I have 14 rental apartments and decided to upgrade to Kohler shower faucets. This set looks nice but is the poorest designer I have ever seen. The way the handle attaches to the cartridge is sure to give you years of pain and suffering if you decide to keep it that long. Come on Kohler do us all a break and take this one off the market

This product is absolutely worthless. The pressure balancing balance only allows extreme hot or cold water. It will be a gargantuan effort for me to replace this valve in situ. If I had known what a horrible product is was initially, I would’ve gone with another brand. Anything but kohler. DO NOT PURCHASE
