Great Investment
I bought this portable shampoo bowl for my son. He has locs and they are long and thick. I do his hair and shampooing his hair is a pain to do in the shower and in the sink, as it makes him and I both uncomfortable. When the product arrived, at first, I was really disappointed because certain parts were missing or broken. However, I know most sellers would be willing to solve any issues with their product when requested. I reached out to the seller to let them know of the issues, and they sent the replacement parts as soon as possible, which was a great plus. Assembly instructions were easy to follow, but some of the assembly does require for you to figure it out to put it together. I tried out the bowl this past weekend, and let me tell you it did the job it needed to do. No leaks, the drainpipe worked as intended. The bowl was super deep and wide which was perfect for my son's growing hair. My son said he was comfortable, and the height and bowl itself adjusted to the type of chair that I have. While it's not perfect, it is sturdy and does what it is supposed to do. Overall, based on the customer service of the seller and the product itself, I would highly recommend it, especially if you do someone's hair at home.

Love this!
Makes it so nice washing my mobile clients hair, they’re comfortable and so am I! Very easy to install.

Works well, but the base will come detached when you lift it up
This basin worked really well, but I had trouble moving it from one spot to another because the leg assembly would come loose from the pole that holds the basin. Also, it could be easier to adjust the tilt of the basin, but once it's set where you want it, it stays put.

Will do. Could use improvement & (see update)
It is as described. It is deep and wide enough to allow for ease of shampooing. I love the the material of the sink and the way the basin is built. The portability concept is great. It can easily be used next to the kitchen sink so we can take advantage of the sprayer. Also, think it could be useful for those who need a bed bath (a patient could only use for personal use next to a raised bed as it would be too high for the average bed height). It would definitely accommodate more water than most bed bath solutions if being used by a standing care giver. That said. The drain hole is so high up that when tilted toward the shampooee it fills up to the point of threatening to overflow before it drains or pours out onto the floor. This means having to intermittently stop spraying to allow the water to lower. The drain should be farther down in the sink to avoid this at all angles. And, the reason the sink must be tipped so far this direction is, though this is height adjustible, the lowest height is taller than most seated chairs. I should have read this more carefully as the back height of the average shampoo chair is lower than the lowest height of this sink. So, my reclining shampoo chair is forced into uselessness as it remains in an upright position while the sink bowl is tilted quite a bit. This makes the shampooee's neck crane in a very uncomfortable position. The portability of the sink is also a little questionable as the base does not actually attach to the arm that slides inside it. One more hole drilled, with a screw to secure this would mean that it did not fall apart when repositioned and would be more stable all over. It obviously is made to tear down for transport, but, easily could have one more wing nut style tightener that would eliminate this instability issue. The drain issues mentioned by so many were non existant upon actually tightening the drain hose with a drill bit and a wrench. It has to be tighter than hand tightened. And, obvioulsy all mention of the drain backing up would be eliminated automatically by not attempting to drain into anything taller than the height of the sinks drain. Any drain will back up this way...it is intended to be drained into a bucket or estsblished floor level drain or bathtub.I don't believe it is unstable if you are strong enough to secure the wingnuts into position. Of course we have not tested it in any positon but it's lowest setting and it is likely the higher the height the more unbalanced it may become.I had to have my son hand tighten the bowl into position so it does not change during shampooing. If he is not around I'm not able to undo and reposition it so it really is not repositionable for me... but, I have arthritic fingers. This is OK since it is just being used at my home in one location. That being said. It is a nice sink and since it will do exactly what we need at an affordable price we intend to solve the height issue rather than return. So, instead of being uncomfortable and risking spills from the forward tipped, too high sink; and since we intend to use it with a shampoo chair that reclines or lies flat, and do not need all the height extension we have decided to remove the existing pole and create either a wooden dowel or other pole to shorten to our required height.I know maybe everyone would not be comfortable with that idea but it will solve our dilemma to customize it to our needs.I can't imagine any future need for this to extend to a height over 4 feet. I'll have my son shorten it and let you know how it goes. (We originally thought to shorten the metal pole but quickly found that was not workable so in the update at the end we tell how we transformed this)Also, I did order a silicone pillow for the edge of the sink as it is a little hard on the neck...that might not be as bad in a reclined position with the sink tipped at a more normal angle either, but, why not spend $10 and make it a little cushy. (After the height adaptation the neck opening and especially with the cushion is wonderful)If you have a chair the correct height this is perfect as is and I would recommend it for an efficient way to handle shampooing in locations where it is necessary for portability.Update June 3,2019: the pic shows the modifications we made to fix the height issues. We finally settled on a 1 inch pvc pipe with a fitting at the base to secure it into the opening and a reducer ( on the top side) going down to a 3/4 inch pvc pipe while the final adapter was a 3/4 to a male fitting. We found the male fitting was the best, most secure way to attach. Even though there are no threads on the sink fixture, it did twist into the hole and with the screw in place was very well secured without any glue. We like this option so we can, in the future, restore the adjustable height function by removing our homemade straightline pvc pipe.(Rather than spend extra money on black pipe and fittings... we bought cheap white and sprayed it black to match)Now, at about a 9" lower height than the original stand (at it's lowest setting), this sits at a perfect height to my shampoo chair. No spills, no strained necks, no wet floors or frustration (other than finding the correct size pvc and fittings). If the sink had come to me short enough to fit a reclining shampoo chair it would probably have gotten 4 stars...and right now with our modicifications I would give it that...But, not as it arrived...so it gets a 3.

A Complete Letdown
My experience with the Height Adjustable Portable Salon Deep Shampoo Basin has been overwhelmingly disappointing, and I cannot emphasize enough how regrettable this purchase has been. The so-called "height adjustable" feature is nothing short of a gimmick. The mechanism is flimsy and fails to hold the basin securely at the desired height. The overall construction of the basin leaves much to be desired. The plastic used is cheap and feels like it could crack under minimal pressure. The drainage system is a nightmare. The provided drain hose is not only short but also prone to kinking, causing water to accumulate in the basin. The neck rest, or lack thereof, is another major flaw. It's poorly designed and uncomfortable.

Great buy!
I started washing my mother’s hair at home during the coronavirus pandemic when salons closed. She’s 74 years old with back problems so having her lean over the sink was less then ideal. This salon bowl has made our experience exponentially better. She’s able to have her hair washed comfortably without water getting everywhere. The height and angel of the basin can be adjusted pretty easily making it possible to get it just right for comfort. Through trial and error I learned that having a large bucket on the floor is the best option for allowing the basin to drain while being used. The only minor issue is that sometimes when moving the basin from place to place the base will fall off, but it pops right back on.

Exactly what I needed
It’s perfect. It was super easy to put together, works exactly as it should. Instructions could be a little more clear. Only downside is I feel it should be able to go a little shorter. I’m only 4 11 and even at its lowest height, it’s still a smidge too tall. I do recommend getting an extra pad for the neck area since it’s hard plastic. Glad I grabbed one right away.
