Beautiful Wok!
Even though the Amazon driver left the box soaking in a puddle by my door, the Wok inside was pristine. It was wrapped in a foam cushioning bag outside of a plastic zipper bag and survived shipping with no damage or hint of rust.I was shocked to find it was shipped completely dry, without ANY coating of rust-preventing oil. However, it is clear that the black nitride coating they advertise is very tough and preserved it in factory new condition. In fact, it is an absolutely lovely pan with a flawless, smooth finish, beautifully crafted, with every sign of great care being taken in its creation. The wooden handle feels solid and tight, though I agree with one of the critical reviews I've seen that the screws holding it in the ferrule are in an awkward position where your fingers will grip them if your hand slides onto the metal part... which you should probably avoid doing anyway! I will take a fine file and very gently smooth the surface of the screw heads where the torque used to tighten them has raised some slight burrs. That's the only thing I can see worth tweaking.I washed the pan as instructed, but there wasn't anything to remove! No oil, no soil, no rust! Just dry, smooth metal. I then heated it up and began the seasoning process, spreading oil with a paper towel and tongs while progressively heating each part of the bowl over the burner repeatedly for 15 or 20 minutes.I tossed in more oil and a quarter of an onion and cooked it until it was thoroughly scorched, discarded it and wiped up the excess oil and let the wok cool.I made some pad Thai for dinner and had a little bit of sticking and scorching, which I attribute to my poor technique more than any shortcoming in the pan. The remnants took a bit of elbow grease to scrub out with a brush and, eventually, a scotchbrite pad.It was a joy to have such a solid, roomy, and genuine cooking implement! It feels really good to use.Just now, as both a test and a late-night snack, I put it over medium heat, melted a pat of butter, and tossed in an egg just before the butter would have begun to brown. I let it firm up for a few seconds, and it released from the surface the moment I moved the pan. I flipped it over with a spatula and it floated on the butter and slid around without a hitch, until I fished it out onto a plate.Cleanup was just like a cast-iron skillet... A splash of hot tap water, swished around, an easy swipe with a plastic bristled brush to remove any solids, and hold it up so the water drains off the residual film of oil. I then wiped it dry outside and in and made sure a thin film of oil remains to keep it rust-free until the next time I pick it up.So, in case it's not obvious, I'm really happy with this thing so far. I hope everyone has as good an experience. I know that I can now focus on building my wok skills with confidence in my tools.

My new favorite go-to for a quick cooking!
Xeeyaya wok rocks!I love this wok. It's strongly constructed, thoughtfully designed and perfectly finished to a high degree of satisfaction. Easy to clean. The makers of this quality kitchen 'workhorse', genuinely care about the product. It's evident in its performance. Nearly everything included is laser etched with their monogram!. The carbon steel transfers heat quickly and responsively. Using an electric burner, which I highly recommend for this. Because of the responsiveness of the hammered steel. I used to swear by a gas burner. The flat bottom of the wok conducts heat beautifully. Follow instructions for non-stick use! It works. This is a non-treated surface which requires a bit of awareness and definitely beneficial! Non-chemical non-stick, recommended. The handle grip of finished wood is comfortable to hold and you won't get burned. The U-handle on the other side is great for moving what you are cooking, depending. I chose this size pan specifically for a one- two person use. However, it heats quickly, so batch cooking is easy for cooking one ingredient at a time for total control. It's quick heating and responsive which is what I was looking for. We really like the wooden lid cover and utensils included. It appears the wooden lid has been torch treated so I gave it a light go over with some warm oil, dipped from the hot wok seasoning process. That works beautifully. If it is torch treated, this is an unexpected bonus. The wok is designed by someone who knows cookware. I have used and favored many a quality handmade wok in my lifetime. Writing this in the hope for their continued success. I am pleased.

Quality product
I gave this to my Son-in-law for Christmas. He likes to experiment with stir-fry recipes but didn't have a Wok. He used it the next day and loved it. The wooden handles are well made, if not a bit heavy. You have to use the ring to balance it on the stove. Having a metal handle on the other side is helpful. The pan itself seems well made and also heavy. It comes with instructions on how to season it. It was packaged very well. It was wrapped in paper, inside a heavy zip-lock type plastic bag, and then a box. It's a good price for a quality product. I would buy it again.

Looks good
I haven’t used it but I pretreat it and realized that this heats up pretty fast and I end up messing up the pretreatment. What I didn’t like was the design of the handle . It is designed so that the handle can be assembled easily but it is also the weakness. The pan is on the heavy side .The extra stuff are pretty funny. The cover is basically a foam material with wood pattern grain design on it .

Perfect size
Bought this for my grand son who loves to cook. Weight of the pan is on point — he is 12 and was able to lift, stir and toss in this pan with ease. He has made some yummy stir fry with more in the future I hope!!

Exceptional quality!
I purchased this wok after looking at numerous other pans. The size is perfect for a family it's made of thick metal and the wooden lid that's included fits perfect. I have used this pan not only for stir fry but for other fried dishes with great results. Clean up is easy, just wipe the wok with paper towels and your done.

I love this pan
This is a nice pan, bigger than I thought it would be. I seasoned it and it is working beautifully. I'm using it 2-3 times a week on all kinds of meals.
