Nice quality and attractive awning
Good quality item. Didn’t use the suction cups to attach it to the roof, however ,used Velcro straps to attach to my roof rack and it worked well. I will try the suction cups to see how they work.

garbage as a car awning, great as a tent footprint
The hardware and design for this product are absolute garbage. The *slightest* breeze and the whole thing collapses. The awning itself makes a great tent footprint, though, excellent quality for a fraction of the price of a quality footprint from an outdoor retailer. Hopefully will find another purpose for the hardware some day.

Doesn’t work as advertised.
I bought this awning for use on my 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD with a cap.Function: the suction cups included in the kit do not work well, if at all. One of the three did not keep suction, right out of the box. The other two were enough to keep suction for two uses, but failed on the third use. Also note that the poles are not adjustable for height. If you have a car or SUV, they will be much taller than your vehicles roof. I have a fairly tall truck and the poles are as tall as my truck/cap.Setup: much easier with two people, challenging with one.All in all, the quality seems ok, but it doesn’t really work as advertised since the suction cups don’t stick. I prepped the surface thoroughly (clean, dry) the suction mounts would unstick themselves after 30-45 seconds. I’d rather just get a true awning instead of wasting $100 on this. It’s a good concept, but if the suction cups don’t work, you’re left trying to jimmy-rig it to your vehicle some way.

Difficult to put up, came with rust erosion, unstable.
The poles had mild rust forming on their edges. The suction cups also had adhesive on them, which made them very difficult to remove from an already hard-to-reach place. Putting it up takes two people unless you have a lot of patience.

Garbage. You get what you pay for.
Suction cups don’t suction in mild wind. Tie down cord ripped. There’s a reason it’s so cheap - it is!!!
