Solid feel - Decent sound.
Solid feel - Decent sound. Not an SM58, but a really good substitute for your kids or grandkids.

Great Price , sound , and Quality built
Quality built and sound. Behringer is definitely one of the best. If you are looking for an affordable microphone this is the one.

Grainy, I mean gain-y, but can be EQโd to sound great.
Some budget dynamic mics have a way of making a bass voice sound papery or muddy. This one is a bit more sensitive with a clearer profile and strong mids. Vocals sound natural with the only flaw being some graininess and thinness. The design and branding on this suggests they were trying to clone the SM58a with a neodymium magnet. I donโt think it sounds professional enough for live use in concert halls and pro studios with perfect sounding acoustics, but I could see a musician using this at a small gig in a venue with โdeadโ acoustics and it coming to life there. I use it in my home studio (with impromptu room treatments such as a wall of books and drapes) and it delivers well. My suggestion: Pair this with a $30 phantom powered gain enhancer and that should clear things up and deliver some needed headroom. Even though I had to work around the micโs limitations, I wholly recommend the Behringer BA85A to anyone who is looking to build a home studio on a shoestring budget. Dynamic mics will always have their place, and fortunately they tend to be easier to work with across a broad range of applications, compared to some condenser mics. This micโs gainy sound and well calibrated mids and higher register will help you power your vocals through a loud instrument mix without having to use a condenser to capture more mid and high end detail. Not having to use a condenser means you can more easily filter out room noise and sibilants.

Pro-level quality, entry-level price tag
Iโm going to be real here and admit that this wasnโt my first choice in mics, but I had to know how it would stack up against the SM58s Iโm used to. In terms of feel, sound quality, features, and includes equipment, at worst, itโs a dead heat. Compared to its vastly more expensive counterpart, ambient noise rejection is identical, pickup pattern also identical, the Behringer has a very slightly darker natural tone (nothing that canโt be compensated for with a little EQ-tweaking), the weight and feel are practically identical, and really, the only area where it notably falls behind is that it has fairly little shock resistance, but a) this can be combatted with a decent stand and/or shockmount and b) it is absolutely unbeatable for the price. Iโve had a long run of good luck with Behringer, but even so, I was skeptical of this mic starting out; the run continues.

Practically A Beta 58 At A Fraction Of The Price
Behringer blowing it out of the water again!! How can they produce such a great mic for such a cheap price? I was so blown away by the price-to-value ratio that I bought 3 more, for a total set of 4 of these vocal mics. They're perfect for live and stage applications. Almost indistinguishable from the Sure Beta 58, these mics get the job done and you don't fret if one gets damaged because you can buy 5 or 6 of these for the cost of a single Beta 58. Behringer, how are you doing this?

Great budget mic
Did a search for best budget mics and these were on the list. Amazon had them for half the price listed in the article. My daughter's garage band loves them. They are basic, but the sound is very acceptable. For the price you can't go wrong.

Tight super cardioid
Great for voice. 50 Hz to 16,000 Hz (great range for definition). Maximum SPL: 150 dB (you can yell loud and it will handle it). Use at slight angle to lower Plosives. Excellent fit & finish in manufacture.

Remarkable in an Unremarkable World (almost as goof a
This is fine. I mean it's a knockoff of a very classic microphone for like a quarter of the cost. If you need an all purpose mic that you don't have to worry about this is the one.

Behringer 85A mic
I bought 2 from this product, behringer 85A it's good in terms of sounds and durability due to metal casing...but compare to shure v100, lesser output with same volume frequency, but worth it the price...happy to use it in the band as secondary mics...

Great mic for live performance use.
Great Mic! very surprised at the build quality and feel of this. I was expecting something really budget quality for the price, but no, it feels surprisingly high quality and came in a usable and rugged case. The directional sound quality is excellent, easily like a Shure SM58 but without the cost. Great for toms, backing vocals and guitars or to keep as a spare for a lead vocalist. It has very useful dynamic range in a live performance situation. There's probably better options for recording (depending on what you are recording), but for live situations its perfect and easy to use. Can't go wrong at the price.
