CORRECT Dowager's Hump
10โs !!!!! YOU NEED THIS !!! GET IT, I LOVE IT !!!!! I have a protrusion of bone beginning to stick out at the top of my spine, from poor posture, i've researched it and found its called a Dowager's Hump :(((. I needed something to correct it stat!!! I was told in time it could worsen to a hunched over posture :(((. Then I found thisโกโกโกโกโก...... I love the comfort"ability", I place it far out to the top corners of my shoulders that's where it belongs to pull the shoulders back and open, the key purpose of this support. You do not need to make it tight, in fact make it as loose just enough to pull your shoulders gently back, that's where you can keep it comfortably and feels good, not cumbersome. I reeeally love the way it feels natural, yet effective. If you don't make it toooo tight, you can wear it longer, and that's exactly what you want to do train your shoulders to sit down and back, lifting your chest open. if it's cutting under your underarms you have it too tight, just leave it at the corners of your shoulders, that's the proper placement, and it shouldn't cut into your underarms as some complained, bc that's too inward, wrong placement. I'm a 38 Bust and I have super broad shoulders, I was developing a Dowager's Hump at the top of my spine as mentioned earlier, from my shoulders encroaching inward and caving in on my chest, I saw a chiropractor who tried to sell me adjustments for the little price of $700 and more $$$1k++, the price was ridiculous !! I certainly don't want to become Mrs. Quasimodo , sooo I've purchased this, I wish there was white and tan instead of only black soo I can use it with many outfits instead of going without. I really like the manufacturer's choice of velcro, this is the kind of velcro that should be used instead of the coarse grabby ones. I REEEALLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS POSTURE CORRECTOR โโโโโโโโโโ 10โZ !!!! Few things I'd tweak: Make the ends of the velcros not as large it keeps getting stuck onto the fabric of my tops, it doesn't apply to me, but little longer velcro to fit larger chest and shoulders, theres a good 6 more inches to extend in the front on the design, but how aaawesome they included an extension velcro, also, make the material a little more breathable to not cause tooo much of underbust and back sweats, also more neutral colors options: tan, white, gray, perhaps. It's a pretty well thought out product and does exactly what you need it to do, get your posture corrected, GET IT!! DON'T HESITATE !

Maximum comfort for women, great for working at a desk
I have struggled with back pain for decades. Over the years, my posture has gotten worse and because I work at a computer most of the day, I find myself slumped over my desk/keyboard. I was also blessed (cursed?) with a large bust and this increases my back pain. My doctor suggested I try a back brace to alleviate the pain and posture problems and I have tried several. I found the other back braces cut into my shoulders or didn't fit comfortably. I nearly passed over this product because it was less expensive than some of the others I had tried - I assumed it couldn't work if it cost less. What a pleasant surprise! I LOVE this brace for many reasons: 1) I can wear it for hours and be completely comfortable. Some of the other braces would cause pain immediately or grow uncomfortable within a few minutes. 2) I can wear it under loose clothing and no one can tell I have it on. Some of the other braces are so large that they can only be worn OVER clothes, or they're so bulky that people can see you're wearing a brace. 3) I'm slightly overweight and the straps are adjustable to make it comfortable. Other braces were too tight or required extension pieces to fit, and I think the extensions made it not fit properly causing more discomfort. With the Caretras brace, I can wear it comfortably and my smaller sister can wear it comfortably as well. No problem! 4) It's so easy to put on! Other products have multiple straps and adjustments that are needed in order to secure it in place. The Caretras has only one strap to connect when I put it on. 5) There are no sharp edges or metal/plastic pieces that cut into my back, shoulders or sides. Some of the other braces were painful due to the materials used to make the brace. 6) My back pain has decreased significantly since I started wearing the Caretras brace. I naturally sit upright when I'm wearing it. It actually feels good to have it on, and even when I'm not wearing it, my back pain has subsisded. Thank you for the thoughtful design and the comfortable material. I rarely write reviews for products but this one deserves praise. 5 stars!

Effective, affordable, could use comfort improvements. Would recommend still
I recently purchased the Shaperky posture corrector after my orthopedist suggested something like this to help support my clavicle after a bicycle crash that dislocated my right clavicle. I researched several options online and here on Amazon, and decided this sounded like the best solution for me. And the price was right. Have been wearing it fairly regularly now for almost 5 weeks, it has helped decrease my discomfort and helped to stabilize my injury. Just a couple issues prevent me from giving it five stars. One, that it's a little bit tricky to adjust properly to get the necessary support and comfort. I have gotten much better at it but it's still a little bit annoying. Two, living in Hawaii I wear light and sleeveless tops a lot, and this tends to cause a bit of discomfort on my underarms. So I've taken to wearing heavier than I might otherwise, short sleeve cotton shirts which has helped. Not sure any of the other designs would be a whole lot better at this. I've worn it for over 10 hours a day on several occasions and have been okay, including on a few challenging hikes on hot humid days. Overall I'm pleased with the support. A great great byproduct of wearing the device is that it has definitely helped improve my posture! I think we can all use that.

Actively a worse design than others.
My husband has poor posture and I have chronic back pain. We went searching for posture correctors and came across this. I thought this one would be good from the design that avoids the armpit areas unlike other designs to avoid the chafing problem that these often have. We bought this one and one other of a different brand. Instantly we could tell this one was worse. It had decent support, but the other was better. It had pain relief, but again the other was better. I'd say the most significant bit is the material though. It cost more than the other we bought but the material is cheap and scratchy. It's not comfortable at all and I don't mean in terms of expected discomfort from posture correction. The design, although avoids the armpit area, actively chafes everywhere else along the bands and support inside and out. You wouldn't be able to wear this under clothing comfortably and you can't where it over a t-shirt comfortably. The design in terms of comfort and support is actively worse than other correctors. Save your money. This thing was made cheap.

THE
I purchased this product to relieve left shoulder pain following a bicep tendon removal and re-attachement surgery. The pain mainly occurred when I was walking with arms freely swinging. The first time I wore it after adjusting the straps per package insert instructions, I was surprised and delighted to be able to walk for over an hour with NO discomfort/pain! It is lightweight and can be worn under or over clothing. It is easy to adjust, (and I must note here that the "biggest" adjustment possible/allowed by the straps did NOT cause any discomfort at all), does not bind under shoulders or around the middle. I ordered the size per the measurements given in the Amazon product description and it fits perfectly. If it should happen to wear out, I would buy it again!

Great for Dowagers
I recently figured out that the hump on the bottom back of my neck was Dowagers. Years of poor posture really added up but it really got worse over the last year as I was working on a couch and bed due to lots of moving before settling into our new place. I was having really bad pain in my traps and neck just trying to stand up straight ot even going for walks. While I tried many stretches and exercises they weren't making a difference after weeks. Not visually, but in terms of tightness in my back. I started using this product a few times a day and even more than the instructor directed. After about 2 weeks it really started to make a difference and the pain is now minimal. The hump is improving and overall the product has worked. The beautiful thing is my body is adapting and the better posture is natural for me even when not wearing it! I still catch myself slouching but it's way better than getting the posture correcting strap. One note is that if you use it too long (over an hour or two) it will pull your trap muscle so don't wear it for 3+ hours. I have worked up to about 1 or 2 hours at a time.

Not for wide backs
This posture corrector is best if you are small to medium frame. While the posture corrector fit across my midsection with room to spare, it rides too high on my back to provide any support. Since it fit too high on my back it caused the shoulder straps to be too tight and uncomfortable.

Very comfortable.
I have tried several posture correctors that did provide support but were painful under the arms. This item was the most comfortable, and still offered support. The only problem with me is that I am between sizes. The SM/MED was too small overall, and the LG/XL fit nicely on top, but it was big on the bottom. But the fact that I cannot find another corrector that fits comfortably like this one, and offers the support that I need, I will be reordering the LG/XL and work with it to make it fit better on the bottom.
