It’s great to have this kit standing by, because I cook a lot and don’t like to wear rubber gloves all the time.Do not coat too thick and avoid double coating if it’s possible.I lightly file the hardened coated surface, especially at the nail base before putting on a base coat. After putting on the base coat, the nail repaired does not look or feel smooth. I haven’t tried putting a color on, so I don’t know how it will look finished.Next time I’ll cover just the area that needs to be repaired and not the entire nail and see if that makes any difference.

This is a miracle cure for my defective fingernail. My pinky nail has a crack that runs from the tip of my totally short nail to about 1/3 of the way to the cuticle. It just grows that way, and has done so for around 7 years. When I have a gel manicure, the nail salon patches it up so it stays in place, but when I'm between manicures and want my fingers to breathe, this darn crack catches on everything and makes the crack longer (and more painful). It drives me nuts. Macibelle nail repair kit to the rescue! I was a little sloppy with my first attempt at nail repair, as I had to do it with my left hand and I'm a righty. I got a little bit of the gel resin on my skin and boy that stuff hardens quickly and firmly. Next time I'll make sure that nothing gets outside of the nail bed before I dip it into the powder. It's very strong. I filed, buffed & polished the nail so it looks like my other natural nails. This is definitely the same quality as the stuff the nail salon uses. Highly recommend!

Only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because once my nail was fully grown out and I was able to take the product off, my nail was frail and flakey (not sure exactly how to describe it lol) which resulted in ANOTHER broken nail that needed to be repaired. Could be user error, I'll have to look into ways to get it off without damaging my nail.

This nail product is incredibly user-friendly and effective. I initially purchased it to fix a small crack on one of my natural nails but ended up using it on all of my nails because of how simple it was to apply.

I got a small tear in the side of my pinky nail. It was down in the "pink" part of the nail, and would definitely have bled and been very painful had I torn or trimmed the nail at that level. After repeatedly trying to file it smooth so it wouldn't keep catching on things, I ended up finding this nail repair kit. It works great!! Very easy to use, and there's a good supply of the powder and glue for future nail repairs or anyone seeking a good strengthening option. The instructions suggest applying a second coat and dip in the powder - I agree, but I would advise that after you apply the second coat of the glue, you hold your finger horizontally over the powder and tap the nail gently into the powder rather than inserting your finger in the powder vertically. If the first coat isn't fully set (as mine wasn't because I didn't wait long enough!), a second vertical dip in the powder will push back the first coat and leave a little ridge that is difficult to file down. Other than that, the product worked beautifully and I recommend it!

I was skeptical after reading other reviews, but I’m really glad I tried it myself. That photo was taken two weeks after repairing a side split and painting my thumbnail. I haven’t had ANY lifting, cracking or chipping. I’m clearly no nail pro—this was my first experience with dip powder—but followed the instructions to a T, taking extra care to smooth the ridges off my nail and clean it with rubbing alcohol prior to using the product. The materials provided with the kit were all useful in the process, but I did use my own finer-grade file to smooth the top after using the included file. That being said, I should have buffed it more but two coats of polish and a coat of top coat camouflaged my inexperience!

Whilst it took quite a long time to arrive, it was worth it when it finally recieved it. This repair kit works better than any I have ever used. Quick, easy and highly effective. Fantastic product
