Best Face Product Ever
Update: as of 9/2018 this is Still the best hydrating serum ever! I've tried countless others since then. This is still my favorite. This is the absolute BEST face product I have ever used, EVER!I have tried so many products out there, from the extremely cheap to the sublimely expensive, for nourishing and correcting my sensitive, aging skin. One thing I've learned is, your SERUM is the most essential part of your facial regimen.I used to think Serums aka Infusions were created by the company as just the company's way of selling you more product. One department store skin care clerk swore that serum is the most important part.I remembered that and tried to test her theory by adding serum and trying different serums.Forms of Hyaluronic acid are usually an essential to any serum as a humectant that boosts the moisture retention properties of any moisturizer you add on top of it.At some point, I began to put the pure, professional facial grade hyaluronic acid on my skin instead of a prepared serum. So, now that you know I've tried all of these, when I began to try this Erno Laszlo product, I didn't think it would work any differently than anything I've used before.I was wrong. And I'm happy I was wrong as I marveled at how this product seems to absorb into my skin and interact with my products in a surprising manner.I feel softness and moisture I've never felt before when using this product and combining with my existing products for eye and face moisture on top. And there is NO feeling of residue, just a wonderful dewy feeling and look to my skin without any stickiness or other feelings of residue. AND it also effectively blurs fine lines, crevices and minimizes pores. I have not found anything that does any of those things, nothing like this.Granted, everyone's skin is different. All I can say is, it's worth a try.I also appreciate the glass container as I do not trust plastic, believing it to be interactive with the product placed inside. Kudos to Erno Laszlo for recyclability too.I don't get the color of the product. It seems like a light pink. And it seems that the inside of the bottle is colored, making it difficult to see how much product is in it in a certain light. Not sure what's going on there. But it's a pleasant color.I appreciate the pump delivery system. It's efficient, with no leaking, perfectly dispensing the exact amount I need. There is an almost imperceptible scent.I am highly chemical and fragrance sensitive, and this product does not effect me at all.I'm so excited about this product that I plan to try others in this brand.

This product is pretty, but it doesn't do much for me
This is the type of product that excites you when it arrives because the bottle is so darn pretty. The product looks (and well, it really is) expensive. It is a serum that you apply to your skin for added moisture. Unfortunately, the serum does not do much to hydrate your skin. It does add a tiny bit of moisture, but not much. The serum is liquid that runs and has to be quickly applied. It does soak up into your skin nicely. It makes my skin a tiny bit soft, but not much.I will also say that the serum does burn if you have any open wounds or on areas that you recently had hair removal. It also has a floral scent that is not a scent I would prefer. Overall, it just doesn't do much for me. I have other much cheaper moisturizers that soak into my skin and make it feel much more hydrated. I would definitely not recommend this product for the price.

Good Goop-less Moisturizer, Leaves a Nice Texture, but Sometimes Irritates My Skin.
Erno Laszlo Hydra-Therapy Refresh Infusion is a hydrating serum in the family of hyaluronic acid serums with some additional skin-balancing ingredients. Its primary action is to hydrate skin with "super-hydrators" that penetrate skin and bind water. The most obvious of these is hyaluronic acid, a kind of super-humectant, which is included in this formula in two forms: hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate. Other humectants are pentylene glycol and sodium PCA. Rosa Canina extract has anti-oxidant effects and, along with Aloe Barbadensis Leaf extract, anti-inflammatory properties. Erno Laszlo's "Pro-Biobalance Complex" of Bifida Ferment Lysate, Lactis Proteinum, and lactose is supposed to "detoxify and balance" skin with its probiotics and milk/whey protein, which supports healthy fibroblasts and therefore collagen. When I saw the ingredients, I hesitated to try the Hydra-Therapy Refresh Infusion because it utilizes silicon as a collagen booster. I don't like to use silicon on my face, as I hate the texture, and it tends to make my cheeks both dry and prone to acne. I am familiar with dimethicone and cyclohexasiloxane, but this serum contains silanetriol instead. I find it less extreme as a retexturizer than most silicones; skin feels smooth but not like plastic. I was surprised to find, however, that the Hydra-Therapy serum irritates my skin sporadically, causing my cheeks to burn a bit, which is what they do when the skin is stressed. I have extremely sensitive skin, so this is unlikely to be most people's experience, and it's not even consistently my experience, but I am unsure what ingredient is causing it. I was using the serum on one side of my face, then switching, so I'm sure this is the culprit. The Hydra-Therapy Refresh Infusion comes in a tall, narrow, plastic pump bottle. The serum is thin and slightly pink in color. It can be mixed with a moisturizer, if you prefer. You can see how much is left in the bottle by holding it up to the light. Erno Laszlo describes the serum's texture as "ultra-light". It is not as viscous as most serums; it's watery. It's best to pump the serum into a cupped hand and apply with a finger from the opposite hand so you don't lose any. I'm not fond of pump dispensers for serums, as I can't control how much product I get. You may find that one pump is enough, or not, but two pumps will be too much. Some people will be put off by the serum's thin consistency, but it may appeal to those bothered by sticky serums. I shared some of this with my mother, who does not like anything that takes time to absorb. She liked the consistency. As this is primarily a hydrator, I compared its moisturizing ability to three serums that I use, applying each to opposite sides of my face. The Hydra-Therapy Refresh Infusion absorbs quickly, leaving a nice texture and hydrated feeling. It's lightweight but has medium impact as a moisturizer. I did not feel that it hydrated as well as Estee Lauder's Night Repair, which is not advertised for hydrating, but I have found that it will penetrate my skin when nothing else can. The Hydra-Therapy left my skin more moisturized than The Ordinary's Matrixyl 10% + HA serum, which is not primarily a hydrating serum but does contain sodium hyaluronate. I also compared it to Hylamide's Booster Low-Molecular HA, which contains 5 forms of hyaluronic compounds. I felt that the Hydra-Therapy was about equal to the Hylamide, though I have not used the Hylamide long enough to test is long-term claims.Ingredients: Water (Aqua/Eau), Pentylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Hyaluronic Acid, Silanetriol, Rosa Canina Extract, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Milk Protein (Lactis Proteinum/Protéine Du Lait), Lactose, Sodium PCA , Caffeine, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sucrose Palmitate, Glycerin, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene Glycol, Tocopheryl Acetate, Glyceryl Linoleate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Disodium Edta, Citric Acid, Sodium Hydroxide, Potassium Sorbate, Sorbic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol, Caprylyl Glycol, Hexylene Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Red 4 (CI 14700).

Refreshing Mist
Refreshing hydrating facial spray. When you spray this on your face it feels like your skin has been drenched in moisture, like diving into a pool, a very refreshing feeling. This lasts at least a couple minutes then it evaporates into the skin. Skin feels tighter, more taught as you enter this stage. It absorbs fully into the skin as well as retains moisture and conditions. Has aloe, milk protein, citric acid and rosa canina extract as some of the ingredients. Feels like there's a barrier there. When I use this I actually feel it working the way the product claims, unlike a lot of products out there. This is great for a quick pick me up or moisturizer, good for home as well as travel.
