It does not make lips white. I like knowing that my lips are protected from the sun and won't get sun burnt. One of the best lip balms with zinc. Will buy again

I’ve been in search of a non-drying lip balm with mineral SPF because I cannot stand the taste or smell of chemical SPFs. Most mineral SPF lip balms are drying or leave a really obvious white cast but not this. I find this just as moisturizing as the Burts Bees lip balm (non-SPF) I used to use. I do see a tiny bit of a cast to it, but anytime I put on lip balm and am going out I usually apply some kind of tint or gloss on top of it which immediately makes it less noticeable. I remember being grumpy at the $10 price point but when I went to order another tube just now after running out, I realized I first bought this over a year ago. Given that I’ve used this most every day (usually several times a day in the spring and summer) I’m surprised at how long it lasted and am no longer grumpy about the cost.

I'm a huge fan of natural sunscreens, and SALT & STONE Lip Balm SPF 30 is a great addition to my routine. I love that this balm is made with all good ingredients, it is super hydrating and keeps my lips feeling soft and smooth all day long. It does not have that funky smell of lip balms with SPF. Occasionally, the balm can leave a slight white cast on my lips, especially if I apply a thicker layer. This is the only drawback I've noticed. Despite the occasional white cast, I really like this lip balm. It's natural, hydrating, and protects my lips from the sun. I just apply a thinner layer if I'm worried about the white cast. For the pros, I can definitely deal with that! This is a great option for anyone looking for a natural SPF lip balm.

Seems to have good ingredients and decently resists melting. Texture and mild flavor are both decent. Lasts longer than many or most other lip balms like this, but at the same time I have had some that last longer. Super expensive when you are paying $10-$12 for one individual lip balm and this is the main reason I dropped it one star. Also like that is made in the USA.

I like this lip balm a lot! It goes on smoothly but doesn’t feel slippery or look shiny. I wear it daily to protect from the sun and I like the subtle/minimal gloss. I am very happy that it’s not tested on animals and has broad spectrum SPF.

This review is not about the lip balm it’s self that fact it’s a high SPF is great it’s about the container the tiny little screw on the bottom to screw up or screw down, no longer works I have to use a tissue to push it back down into the tube. It’s frustrating because I really want to use it on a regular basis because I work in the outdoors and now I can’t ugh!!!

I live I Colorado so lip balm and sunscreen are both must haves. This is my goto lip balm and bonus - it has sunscreen. I've tried more expensive brands but keep coming back to this. Does not feel waxy on my lips. Also does not go on greasy just to disappear in an hour.

No scent, and decent hydration.
