Simply Divine
I stumbled on Stjepan Sejic’s work by accident last year and it was the best accident ever. I loved the Sunstone series and really ad,ire the art style. When I learned of this new series, I knew I had to get it.The art is incredible and the story is exciting. I can’t wait to see what happens in Volume 2. It also helps that there are so many sexy moments in the chapters. I also really like the incorporation of ancient myths (such as the Greek gods) into the story.Overall, I highly recommend this series!

Fine Print; Or, How a Divine Contract May Not Be the Best Cure For a Broken Heart is a new graphic novel series from Stjepan Šejić, the author/artist of Sunstone, and is even more steamy and erotic than the latter title. As is typical of Šejić's work, the art is magnificent, the colors are dynamic and eye-catching, the characters are engaging, the facial expressions are superb, and even the smuttiest scenes serve a purpose in the overall story. The one notable flaw is that we don't get enough of that story. The premise for the overall series is pretty simple: a model named Lauren Thomas is granted a magical contract that would summon the greatest of all cubi (gods of desire) to fulfill her every sexual need; unfortunately, the title of "greatest" is currently a contested one, so Lauren gets both the finalists and must judge for herself which of them is the winner. What is not at all simple is all the backstory and worldbuilding that has to go into such a premise. And so Šejić spends so much of volume 1 showing us who and what the cubi are, why the contracts exist and why they're so important, how Lauren's love life has gone so wrong that she would try such a contract in the first place, and what the stakes are for everybody involved, that the actual premise itself that I outlined above doesn't get fully set up. Instead, we're left with a sort of awkward cliffhanger to be taken up next issue, like when the two-hour pilot of a TV series would get split up into two one-hour episodes for the reruns. Which leaves the book gorgeous, intriguing, and sexy as anything, but not all that satisfying narratively. That said, I still can't wait for volume 2.

The next foray into Comic Land
Great artwork, even better one-liners, and a tale as old as time itself. Even the gods and goddesses among us are flawed.

Beautiful Art
For graphic novels, it always comes down to the art for me. The visuals in this are top notch. I love the style. The story was a little different than I was expecting, but it was still good.

A contract with gods
First volume in a comic series. This from writer/artist Stjepan Sejic. Who did the comic Sunstone. Which is worth an amazon search if you've not read it. It's a romance for grown ups, and a look at a unique lifestyle. This, like Sunstone, doesn't collect individual comics. It's one long volume just over 174 pages. But it is divided into chapters. Six of them. One of which is rather short. Plus a prologue. This, like Sunstone, does deal with grown up stuff. So adult moments and strong language abound, and thus it's strictly grown up reading. The prologue introduces us to a lady making a deal with a demon. Although the latter doesn't like to be called that. Right from the off, this feels interestingly different and original. Down to the way said latter character is written. This then shows an event. That has plot significance. The main chapters - all of these have chapter pages, with gorgeous art - introduces us to Lauren Thomas. A lady whose backstory we then get. It's detailed. Believable. And very well written. She is going to end up making a deal as well....That's all I can really say without spoilers. Because this isn't entirely real world based. It does feel firmly believable when trying that. But there is a fantasy element as well with the demon. Or Cubi, as they prefer. It merges these two things seamlessly. Giving us scenes in two different realms.Let's just say as well you are wondering early on about the prologue, because it doesn't really get referenced. For a while. But hang on in there and all becomes clear....What follows is a relationship drama. Mixed with a fantastical element. And it's great. Just as good as Sunstone, even though it's got fantasy as well. The actions of the human characters are so well written and believable. And the fantasy element is so original, you never know where it will go. It puts a few spins on familiar material.Just discover this book for yourself. It's original. And it's brilliant. And like Sunstone, it has amazingly good digital art and colour from an artist who really gets these things. Plus dialogue and character poses that just feel so natural and normal. There are some notes at the end as to the genesis of this. They are worth a read.I like this man's work a lot. I am glad I tried more of it. You will be too.

No decepciona

I love Stjepan Sejic comcis and this one is not an expetion
His creator owned comics could seem mundane with exiting interuptions of sex, but while the sexy stuff is... wel.. sexy, its the slice of life stuff in between that makes his work so endeering. The faces, their emotions on display, the dumb yet genious humor, it all comes together (yes, with the sexy) to ilustrate complete human characters that pull you in.You like comics?Yyou should try!

Perfect
This has everything. Fine print is a rollercoaster of love and desire antagonizing but also needing each other— wrapped up in one of the most appealing art styles I have encountered in graphic novels, of whom I have read quite a few. Diving into some kind of erotic fantasy romance intertwined with the emotional luggage, adulthood brings with it, remains a matter of taste, but if you want to try, then try this one.Must buy!
