Know What Your Guitar Needs, Otherwise So Easy To Install
This Washburn N1 was my first electric guitar for 28 years, and I have gone through pickups and just kept it stored for years.Been reading up on these Rail Tails and been really curious about them since they came out. Finally decided to bring this guitar out to overhaul. Got some EMGs and this Rail Tail Narrow. It was so easy installing all of these! An old friend back by my side. No more annoying spring noises and tuning has never been more stable, and it can take my wild whammy abuse too! Plus this guitar I outfitted with actives, so no worrying about soldering ground, or just soldering period! Some might not like this since it’s a dive only, but I have regular Floyded guitars for that. This is perfect for my N1’s needs!Definitely measure your guitar first and look at the specs before deciding. I knew my guitar was an import and it has a 6-point trem, measured it anyways and it was what exactly what I needed out of the Rail Tail Narrow. Highly recommended!

Great Replacement Tremolo for MIM Stratocaster
I’m VERY satisfied with this upgrade. If you have a made in Mexico Stratocaster that plays well and that you like but are not pleased with the tremolo, this is a great alternative. It is a direct replacement for MIM Stratocaster.I like the feel of the trem arm (absolutely no « wiggle ») and it stays in tune really well. This is not a floating tremolo, it is a dive only tremolo. If you need/want a floating tremolo, this is not the tremolo for you. However, it has some benefits:1. There is a noticeable increase in sustain compared with the original floating trem.2. You can play double stops and bend a string with the other staying in tune. The installation was very easy. There is a good and detailed installation video on Floyd Rose website. Once it is installed, you need to be familiar with basic guitar setup for setting up the saddles height to match your neck radius and intonate the guitar correctly. If you are not familiar with basic guitar setup, simply install the tremolo and bring it to your favourite tech.I purchased this tremolo based on the long-term review from Darrell Braun. For more information, simply search for « RAIL TAIL Long-Term Update » in YouTube.I hope this helps.

Great Product!!
This product was exactly what was described. It made the fender strat. stay in tune, it looks sleek and easy to assemble. Expensive but worth every dollar.Amazon delivery arrived earlier then suggested.Completely satisfied.

Works great, but installation might require guitar modification
I love this now that it's installed. It's super smooth, the sustain is much better than the standard bridge, and it looks fantastic. Now for the bad news. On my MIM, when I first installed it, I couldn't get the intonation set correctly. The problem is that there's limited saddle travel due to the hump where the pivot resides. Look at the picture closely. I couldn't move the saddles far enough forward and the string length was too long on the three high strings. The only solutions are to redrill your holes, which there may or may not be enough room to do, or route out the neck pocket and move the neck (dowel and redrill). I opted for the latter after seeing the poor job that Fender had done with the pocket in the first place.Take a good look at your existing saddles, if any are forward almost to the screws, you're going to have the same issue. Not everyone will be comfortable hacking or drilling on their guitar. If it's an expensive Strat, you might want to let your local luthier to take care of it.

The Best!
Best upgrade for a Strat style trem by far! Big increase in tone, sustain and tuning not to mention the dive range. Not the cheapest tremolo out there but the quality is top notch. Easy to install, no mods needed. Drop D and half step tuning is a breeze. Nothing to adjust because it behaves like a hard tail. Highly recommend if you want the best of both worlds!
