Bake from Scratch (Vol 5): Artisan Recipes for the Home Baker

As soon as I received this book, I picked a recipe for which I had all necessary ingredients and made it the same day. Chai Greek Wedding Cookies, page 286. They were delicious!!Fantastic!I own all the 5 books in this series. They are phenomenal (except BOOK 1 -- which looks splendid but measurements are wrong and it cannot be used [I reviewed that too]).Judging from this first successful recipe, I am hopeful that this book was edited properly and checked for mistakes.As an object, it is gorgeous! Photos are beautiful, recipes are interesting and very clearly explained, the range is outstanding (in particular, I love the inclusion of breads!). A must-have.

I would give extra stars if I could. I have purchased every single Bake from Scratch books, I actually look forward to them being released. They feature so many recipes that are easy to follow and perfect for the home baker. I love the photos that accompany the recipes. It always helps me gage what I am baking. There are so many recipes there is something to bake for everyone. The recipes are from issues of the magazine. Which this book make it great to have them all in one place. I highly recommend this baking book. Perfect for yourself or the most perfect gift.

This is the fifth book in the series. I have recently purchased all 5, one at a time. #1 was good, and they worked their way up to great. Can't wait to order #6!

My favorite baking magazine. I have all of the volumes. My only criticism is the index and trying to find the recipe I want. Great photos and easy to follow instructions.

I saw the author on Home and Family and loved what he made on the show. His cookbook was mentioned so I thought I would check it out. After seeing the great reviews I ordered it. I sure am glad I did. As a baker for other people I know the recipes are going to be a hit.
