Cheap and well built
I could have made one but it would have taken more time. In all honesty this item works if you take your time and apply downward pressure while u twist. Can’t go wrong for the price. Works on 99-07 f350 that I know of. I don’t know if the 08-23 use the same type of retaining ring but based on a quick google image search, it’s the same type of retaining ring (plastic with raise indentations). So im going to say it works 99-23. If u take out quite a few of them, weld the arms in place. Or even buy a few since they are that cheap and weld them in place for the “big three” truck manufacturers.I don’t know why you would fault the tool if it doesn’t work or it busted your ring retainer - it’s not specific to just one particular vehicle. Takes some skill and know-how to avoid damaging the retainer. Sometimes it’s unavoidable all together.I generally remove the retainer with a blunt chisel and it works well but I wanted something I can remove and tighten the retainer ring faster and more consistently. This fits the bill.

The little cheap tool that could… and did.
Needed to replace my fuel pump in my 1999 Jeep Sahara. Once you adjust the arms snuggly and be sure to tighten the wing nuts it turned the lock ring. It didn’t slip on the initial turn at all. The wing nut loosened up on its own somehow. Worked well tightening also. It’s a great tool for a light duty task. I’d change out the wing nuts for nylon lock nuts next.Pictures show old pump. Pump removed. New pump installed.

Works but others like it are better designed
It got the job done but why I don’t give it five stars is kept slipping off. Even after I took some pliers to tighten the wing nuts down more still slipped. If you can deal with that, it’s a buy.

For Ford Escape 2004
Purchased this to remove fuel pump from our 2004 Ford Escape XLT 3.0 liter. It worked as expected. It met our expectations as well. Before you work on your vehicle review replacement in Youtube.YouTube. It's a great tool.

Great tool!
Removed the ring on my Ford Excursion. Extra set of hands makes the job easy. Installation without help much easier as well. Hammer and driver method cannot measure tightness. Ring replacement is recommended.

Not good
This tool doesn’t work, if the cover of the fuel pump is on tight, the metal on this tool just bends (both the socket and the hole it goes in).

Reasonably Good
This tool is way better than a hammer and screwdriver to remove fuel pump ring, but not as good as manufacturer recommended tool. For the money it is a good value and gets the job done, but is hard to torque without it coming undone. It is not as rigid and stable as you'd like. Used it to change out the fuel tank unit in my 2014 Honda Odyssey, and for $17 it did fine.
