We recently moved in a house where the thermostatic mixer of the shower unit was broken inside so the temperature control wasn't working. I originally wanted to purchase a brand new shower unit and spent £300 and the new one but then we discovered that it won't fit to the existing pipes that come out of the wall. Anyway, then I decided to just keep the manky old unit and try to find a thermostatic mixer only. In shops it is not possible to find one.I'm really pleased with this purchase. I was able to fit the new mixer to current set up without any hassle. It's made out of steel. No plastic parts. At some point we will refurbish the whole bathroom but for now it does the job.Good stuff
