Needed an AP to flood the back yard with Wi-Fi...
I have Ubiquiti products all over the house. I have several AC-HD units inside the house and the coverage is excellent. One of the AC-HD units is in the attic, near the rear of the house. I was hopeful that it would provide ample coverage to the back yard but the distance and the spread of coverage I needed was just too much for this to be viable.Enter the AC-M-PRO. Oh my. It adopted into my existing network with a single click and updated its onboard firmware at the same time. (If you don't already have an existing UniFi system, the controller software is free and simple to install.)From there, I simply provisioned the new outdoor AP with my existing wireless network configuration, and that was it. Full signal, hundreds of feet away, through shed walls, through thick fences, and never a hiccup.I have a dedicated Ethernet run from my switch to the AP so I'm not using the second port on the AP. I was concerned that the hole for the second cable would allow water to get into the unit. I simply took an old network cable, cut it off a few inches from the end and plugged it into the second port. The end of the cut cable sticks out a couple of inches below the AP. Not a big deal but it would be nice to see a grommet included if you aren't planning on using both cables. This unit has survived windstorms, heavy rain with driving winds, hail, snow, and is still performing admirably. The price is right too. A colour option in black would have been welcomed as the white is quite noticeable, but I'm really being choosy here.Highly recommended - I would buy this again in an instant.

Super Easy Install
I bought this unit and plugged it directly into my starlink internet. No unifi controller required. Setup the unit on the Unifi app on my iphone. Works flawlessly. Previously I was struggling with a TP Link EAP 610 Outdoor for months. It would constantly drop the internet signal. The Unifi unit is a little more $ but worth it since it works!

I cannot get it to work!
I have tried to plug this into my home network, but it does not appear as a device. I know that it is on the network as it lights up when connected to the PoE. It just goes white and then blanks, then back to white. Anyone with a tip it would be greatly appreciated, otherwise I am sadly going to have to return it.
