I bought this for my laser engraver and like the peace of mind of having a self-deploying fire extinguisher in the laser engraver's case. The extinguisher is about the size of a pack of cigarettes and is mounted with self-adhesive tape. Just hope that I never need it!

This is a good alternative to carrying a bulky extinguisher in the cars cabin. Very easy to mount with adhesive backing. I have peace of mind knowing there is protection in my engine bay.

Engine hasn't burst into flames yet so I'll up date if it ever happens. Figure its insurance. 😎

I bought 5 of these for my class C RV for the engine compartment, and areas where propane is used, below propane stove, fridge and furnace compartments and my electronic cabinet where I charge all of my lithium batteries. Better safe than sorry or worse. Hope I never need it but it provides some peace of mind knowing it’s there.

I hope I never have to use this, but apparently if I do, it will work automagically.It's packaged in a pretty fancy box, with nice padding. My wife thought it was a watch, but it's just a heat-sensing fire extinguisher that fit nicely on the fan shroud of her VW Beetle.

I installed this inside of a CNC enclosure in my basement. While you're supposed to be constantly monitoring the CNC while it's on, some cuts can take hours and there's always going to be a time when you're distracted or have to go answer the door or go to the bathroom. It's a bit of extra reassurance that Murphy's law won't strike at one of those times and before you know it you have a giant plywood structure on fire a few feet underneath the the basement joists.It was incredibly easy to install, and it makes me happy when I see it stuck up there. Like a fire extinguisher or a seatbelt or a bike helmet, you'll never know you need it until you're wishing you had it.

This seems perfect for my application-to mount behind an absorption fridge in a motorhome. The fridge cooling system uses hydrogen gas and uses ammonia and an open flame for the cooling process. It's a perfect recipe for a fire due to a leak and is not a rare occurrence. I'll also install a thermostat so it won't relight.This unit is UL rated, and I'm not going to blow $50 testing it myself. It appears to be well made and should function fine - UL tested it. True, another person downrated it because Amazon won't allow returns due to the product containing flammable material. The two compounds in it combine and generate heat and gas when it's tripped - the products of combustion generated both cool and put out the fire. I would not down rate this due to Amazon's return policy.
