Tom Sawyer (Baby's Classics)

Sanitized, but still useful for starting a love for the classics
I collect board books on science and literature, so I was excited to find the Baby's Classics line. Their take on Tom Sawyer covered all the major stories presented in Twain's original: whitewasing the fence, playing pirates and attending his own funeral, hunting for buried treasure, and getting Becky Thatcher out of the cave. Yes, it may be a little too sanitized, but if it gets a kid wanting to rad the full-length "big kid" version in a few years, it's worth it.And that Greg Paprocki artwork! I laughed when I saw that he had put a picture of Mark Twain inside the haunted house. I own a few of his historical ABC board books and I tell you, folks, his artwork alone would justify the price of the book.I can only hope that coming soon are Oliver Twist and Treasure Island to the Baby's Classics library.

the stories are not complete
The books have only one paragraph for each story. I thought it would have complete stories.
