Works as expected. I've owned multiple of these collars (other ones were Esky brand, but it's the SAME thing) and they work great for a stubborn coonhound. This is the 3rd or 4th collar we've bought for our dog and they work well for training and for use as an e-leash, if he's off lead a quick beep or vibrate brings him back every time. Distance works well too across a small open field. I wouldn't grantee the collar is waterproof but the last one we had our 65lb coonhound likes to dock dive with it on and it causes him no problems and still worked after him swimming around for 30 mins or so. This version has soft gel like buttons whereas previous Esky 2016 model had hard plastic which broke. Again, all of these collars are the saaaame thing just with different names printed on it and slight model changes (i.,e., glow in dark buttons or lit back screen or flashlight function on remote etc). For anyone looking for something to gain their sanity back with lovable but stubborn dogs (...like a 65lb redbone coonhound) then this is perfect for you. The blue collar looks awesome on my pup too I might add.

i bought this collar and put it on my adult german sheppard, ive used 3 other shock collars before i got this on a few weeks ago. it appears defective and is burning my dog. i notice when i took the collar off to charge it tonight she has to burn marks on her skin and the metal prongs seem rusted or discolored.

After a week the shock option quit working and Than 5 weeks later it quit working all together. I was past the Amazon 30 day return time by that point but the company sent us a new collar piece and after a few weeks it is still working well!

Worked OK for about a month... just long enough to be outside of return time. It is a little clumsy when you want to activate it with so many buttons to push - when you need to use it in the moment, it's difficult to recall exact which of the four to use and often, instead of delivering a vibration, I changed modes. :( It also shuts off automatically after a short period of time of not being used and when you need it (again in the moment), you have to remember to touch one button first and then the button to activate the collar... again... I was often switching modes instead of activating the collar. Now, the receiver and the collar disconnect from each other as soon as the receiver sleeps. And yes, it is fully charged. Turned out to be an OK product while it worked but it's not working properly anymore.

Not sure if its the product or the user. Haven't found it to be particularly effective. This was a purchase made out of desperation. We have a very stubborn dog and this wasn't my first choice to handle his behavior. But we have tried everything else and aren't getting very far. I also think that the amount of hair he has may be affecting how well this works, but I'm really not willing to shave him.

I got this for our chocolate lab. She is a good dog with bad manners. I want her to enjoy every day and that is only possible if she is trained to know what is bad to avoid being yelled at constantly. This is really easy to use just follow the instructions. Labs are really good driven and every time we drop anything she thinks it's hers she even will grab food from your hands. That is the truth of why I got this. Little things she responds rapidly with the beep. Food on the other hand it is going to take repetition working on this but this tool will ease and speed this process. So far very happy with this purchase.

At first I loved the product, but after using it only one month, the port that the charger goes into was pushed back into the remote, so I could no longer use it. Now it's useless to me.

We bought this for our 52-pound dog. It is necessary to read and understand the directions, as there are varying types of deterrent available and in varying degrees, from a beep to a vibrate to a full shock. It has been very effective and we are glad we bought it, as our Ginger has become much more obedient, responding to the beep often enough. We recommend it.
