Makita191R00-0 Rapid Load Bump & Feed Trimmer Head

I bought this additional trimmer feed so that I could have an additional spool loaded, original works great. It is easy to install line into the bump head and replace the empty one on the trimmer.

Could not locate any available to purchase Kobalt 80V String Trimmer Head, manufacturer told me can only now to be purchased from Lowes. Always out of stock. Found an online review that stated it would fit my exact model (Kobalt model KST 140XB-06 , now listed as Lowes Model # 2908003, Item #1315033, purchased March 2016). Read you might have to replace the top nut/screw but worked for them. Worked perfectly for me and didn't have to replace the top nut/screw with another. Hoping this helps others trying to find a match.

I've used a wide range of heads and line for over 40 years and these are vastly superior.

I wanted an attachment that was easy to load and carried sufficient line to last for a while between loadings. This one does that. My only complaint is the device is not easy to load. I had to use vice-grips to turn the take up reel when loading new line. Luckily this is something I don't do often.

This trimmer head came with the Makita 36V trimmer I purchased. After a short period of use, a new line will not feed through the holes, and it is very difficult to wind.I purchased a new bump and feed head, thinking there might be an upgrade to the design.However when I took them apart they appeared to be identical in every way.But the old head still did not work and the new one did.Upon closer inspection and a lot of time, I discovered the cause of the problem.The bump feed knob can be placed on the string spool in two directions which are 180 degrees from each other! To prevent the spool from being placed in the wrong direction, there is a very very tiny plastic pin (1/8" long x 1/16" diameter) that protrudes up from the spool on one side.The knob can still be installed on the spool in the wrong direction, but it will be slightly crooked. This will cause the problems that I had: a new string will not start through the holes, and it will be difficult to wind.On my old head, this pin was broken off. Probably from bumping the knob to feed the line during use. So when I took it apart to diagnose the problem, everything looked normal.It was only when I compared it to the new head that I eventually discovered the problem. That teeny tiny little pin!!This is a design flaw that I hope Makita changes. All my other Makita products excellent 5 stars!

It was easy to install on my Makita Cordless trimmer. Seems to be much sturdier than the stock trimmer head. It was easy to load the trimming string, and it seemed to feed from the head smoothly. I have only used it a few times since the purchase, but am satisfied with it so far.

A direct fit works perfect

It fits my Makita trimmer XRU09.

I wore the button out that releases the line for this makita line trimmer. I was happy that this one fit and it appears to be even better than the original.
