WEN Drywall Sander, Variable Speed with 15 ft. Hose (6369)

Buy it! I think of all the mud I’ve sanded by hand over the years and I want to cry! Just took this for an hour test drive and WOW! They include 60 - 240 grit in the box. Unless your removing a popcorn ceiling you won’t need anything less than 150 grit. 120 even takes it down much to fast. (If you really screw up the mud, this machine will take it off FAST!) Just use light pressure, appropriate grit and variable speed and it works like a charm & leaves you with a beautiful smooth finish ready for primer. It is a little heavy but your hand holds near the motor so it’s not too bad. The suction around the edge works great and collects 98% of the dust but not much suction in the middle. (See photo of clogged holes) Connected to my RIDGID shop vac the dust is minimal. Whether you have one room or remodeling an entire apartment like I currently am it’s worth every penny! *don’t forget to order extra 150 & 240 grit paper. Found a few vendors selling 30 piece for $16 - $18 range. * Update: I did not purchase the sander with both attachments. I only got the round head and now wishing I'd gotten the system with both attachments included. I have not been able to find replacement heads to buy thus far online so have an email into WEN. Hoping to be able to buy the triangle attachement. Will make sanding in the edges / corners 1000X easier. Happy Sanding!

Muy buen producto trabaja muy bien ahorra mucho tiempo lo que si me arrepiento de no haber comprado la que tiene el cabezal doble si me hace falta en las esquinas de todo lo demás funciona muy bien. Es pesada cuando tienes que lijar el techo es muy cansado

Not my first time doing drywall. But my first time with a power sander. Worked well. I ran it on the lowest speed, with 220 mesh paper I had bought separately. Almost worked too well. I was using dust control compound but the dust collection with this machine was phenomenal. Practically dust free.

I purchased this almost three years ago and have used it on 4 different projects. I also have a long handle sander for places you can’t reach. I highly recommend it, especially for DIY’rs like me. Plenty of power, light weight, great suction, minimal to no dust. I use 600 grit to feather out everything.

Cons: - I wish it had the lights on the rim like other brands do, as that is my main compliant. In a room without a lot of lighting exactly where you are it can be hard to know if you have sanded enough. So I had to keep stopping and checking. -And the vacuum hose wasn't the size I needed for my vacuum so I needed to get an attachment. - wearing the strap caused more issues than it fixed. So it works best without the strap. - no built in vacuum or vacuum attachment bag like other models have. - assembly instructions aren't the best -For me the corner sander version just wasn't worth the extra price to upgrade from this model. This round one does get pretty close to the corner but the edge doesn't seem to be removable like it is on other brands to get even closer. Pros: -Does a really great job at sanding the walls. We absolutely love how well this worked. - Isn't super loud, the vacuum is at least 70% of the noise level - The dust gets pulled in really well as long as the vacuum you connect to it is on before you start to sand. We used mesh screens as other reviews suggested they work better then the included sandpaper. - It's heavy but a manageable heavy. It is rated lighter than other models which was a big deciding factor in buying this. - this was the most heavily recommended model on a lot of drywall contractor discussion boards. I definitely recommend this to anyone doing drywall sanding.
