Significant difference
I started playing alto sax again a couple of weeks ago after not playing for 40 years and I took up soprano sax for the first time last weekend. The reed tool makes a significant improvement to my reeds in tone and playability. Doesn't take even a minute to really help a reed.Guitar is my main instrument, but I think my guitars are getting jealous of my saxophones.

Wish i spent the money years ago.
Ive known about these for years but recently actually splurged. This thing has rejuvenated my year old Boston Sax Shop reeds. Best tool bar none.

Pays for itself!
I've seen Reed Geek and passed it up for a couple of years now. Any saxophone player will acknowledge that reeds are the bane of our existence. If we get three reeds that work right out of a box, all of a sudden that box of reeds has tripled in price. Reed Geek has given me a new lease on life for all of my reeds. A few swipes with Reed Geek and like magic, the reed is made better. Good reeds get great, bad reeds get good. I mean, really good. I've gone through every reed that I can find around my house and have gotten satisfactory results with each one. There's no razor trimming, no guessing, just a couple minutes to initially adjust each read then seconds before playing (or between plays if you're rotating them). I figure it is going to be at least a two - three years before I will have to buy reeds again. No Joke, this tool pays for itself. It does seem pricey, but when you look at the amount of money and time you will save adjusting reeds, I think you will find that your savings will end up being many times the price of cost of the tool. Did I mention that the reeds play a LOT better.

Good but very expensive
Reed Geek has been promoted by many Youtubers. As an intermediate saxophone player 4.5 years. I do think it was a purchase that was needed. However 85$ for the tool was a tad expensive. There are other options like square HSS steels. (But aren’t as good).

Game Changer!!!
What an amazing tool-I was hesitant at first because of the price but after the first use I felt like I was playing a different horn!!!-it is definitely a precision tool-high quality & a very balanced piece-there are plenty of YouTube videos out there to help you use it properly-not hard at all to use and just with a few passes it worked amazingly!-I won’t have to buy reeds for a while that’s for sure-I’m still in disbelief of the changes this thing made in my overall experience playing the sax-you can tell right from the suction test that things are lining up the way they should!-Highly Highly Recommend!!!...

Pays itself off quickly
Go from 3 or 4 usable reeds to 8-10. Better than something like a lathe bit because of the parts on the end to work the front of the reed. Super easy to use

Works well
It can make almost any reed playable. Personally, I use it somewhat sparingly, just when I have a problem with a reed or clip the tip of an old reed. My guess that, if you are using the right reed strength you will need to use it on something like half of your reeds.
