I have Macular Degeneration and have difficulty seeing the menu in most restaurants. This magnifying glass is fantastic! It's not too heavy, it fits in my purse (although my purse is large) but the best part is it has 3 different lighting levels. It's now bright enough to see the menu and the print is large enough to read!!! I love this magnifying glass and recommend it to anyone with vision problems!!!

As I age, my eyes are not what they used to be. Lately, I've been collecting magnifying glasses, leaving one at every place I might want to read anything, because normal text is much too small & blurry for me.This glass is my favorite. Do not discount the value of the ergonomics. The glass is easy to hold & use. I don't have much use for the multi-colored LEDs, but I can see that it might be handy. The image is pretty much distortion free.A minor nit: I'm not sure it fully magnifies by 10x -- for example, this glass produces a more magnified image: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08K541BPW/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s04?ie=UTF8&th=1 But of the two, this one feels best in my hand, the built-in lights are bright & useful, and the image is excellent. Between the two choices, I'd choose this one first.

This magnifying glass was just what I needed. 10X is about the least power that is useful for normal tasks. I also bought a 30X one (not reviewed as yet) . I was hoping for one with a real glass lens but one of those would likely be much heavier and much more expensive, most have plastic lenses these days, this one included. They work but you have to be a bit more careful with them and protect the lens. So....I bought a nice, cushioned bag to keep it in. Unfortunately, light does not penetrate the bag so I could not tell if the magnifier's light was on. The light, by the way is terrific, effectively having 3 different color temperatures. The problem is the switch is very sensitive and comes on with just a light touch. Yes, you guessed it! I put it in its protective bag and put it in a drawer, switch side down. It touched something in the drawer and the light switched on, draining the batteries. Probably won't be too big a deal in the future, now that I am aware of the problem. I wrote this verbose review so you would know about it too and can take precautions. I would not let this stop me from buying one again. A stiffer or protected switch would be a good thing for the manufacturer to change to but hey, it's less than $10 so I wouldn't expect any changes real soon.

Good magnifying glass. The lights make reading easier.

My vision is less sharp than it once was and I often need a magnifying glass, and I usually use the light feature. Works well and is very helpful.Regarding10x magnification: this refers to area, not linear dimension. So if a number or letter is 1/4 inch high unmagnified it will NOT be 2 1/2 inches high when magnified x10. But if something covers one square inch (a square one inch on a side) it will be 10 square inches magnified. A square of 10 square inches would be a little over 3 inches on a side (square root of 10).I have seen many reviews saying the magnification is only 3x, which is what you might conclude if you are thinking in linear dimension rather than area.

I recently received my magnifier and have actually found it to be useful on several occasions. I believe it to be a tool that I might use regularly to decipher nutrition info on food, expiration dates on meds - etc. So, if you like to know what the small prints say on items you buy, or if you just need to magnify the print in a book or article you read, this tool does the job - and it has a flash light built-in with three levels of brightness. Go for it-

I like the weight and quality, as well as the size. The lighting on it comes in different shades. Had another brand like this much better!

There is a lot to like about this magnifier - the LEDs are bright. Lens is crystal clear. Color of LEDs switchable between warm white or cool white..Unfortunately the magnifier suffers from a lack of durability. If you drop it it is pretty much toast. The first time it happened I figured it was a bad light, so I ordered a new one. Within 2 weeks I toasted it. Suspecting this was a design issue, the magnifier had everything I wanted except durability. I decided to give it one last try and ordered a third one. It soon went the way of the first two.That's 3 magnifier in 6 months. I would say if you are in an environment where it never gets dropped, then this may still be a good magnifier for you, otherwise I would keep looking.

I just got this magnifying glass today. It uses three AAA batteries.I put them in the unit. You have three light options when you push the main button. Cold light, warm light, or a mixture of the two.You just push the centre button and it will alternate the lights and then you could turn it off.It works perfectlyI don't know if the magnification is exactly as described but it works better with greater magnification than a previous magnifying glass that I haveAn excellent product for the price. I'm quite happy with this product

Gute Verarbeitung. Vernünftiger Batteriefachdeckel, der gut einrastet und so sicher ist. Der Knopf mit den 3 Leuchtmodi (Kaltweiß, Warmweiß, Mix aus Kalt- und Warmweiß) lässt sich sehr gut drücken und die Helligkeit ist somit jederzeit ausreichend. Die 10-fach Vergrößerung der Lupe ist genau richtig und nicht zu stark. Ich habe auch eine Lupe mit 30-facher Vergrößerung, was aber wirklich zu stark ist und nicht so passend, wie eine 10-fach Vergrößerung, die diese Lupe bietet.Kann ich nur wärmstens empfehlen. ;)
