Love this thing so much
Love this thing so much. Wanted to wait a bit so I could offer a more honest long use opinion. Bought this for my office and stores my devices beautifully. Would have liked a larger grip to store the MacBook closed but I'm very pleased

Good product, even if it is a little bit flimsy
First of all, I am not being paid for this, and was not given the product with any agreement to provide a review. The stand works well, and is highly adjustable to many different positions. It's solid overall and holds your laptop and stays locked in place. I will say that it is a little bit flimsy, so if you have a heavy laptop in it (like my Macbook Pro) and bump it or bump the desk that it is sitting on, it will shake a little bit. It shakes a bit with my iPad in it too, but not too badly, and only if I bump the desk. I work on a really heavy, solid desk, and my typing on my wireless keyboard doesn't vibrate the desk enough to make it shake too badly (just a slight movement that is barely detectable). If you're working on a flimsy desk or table, it might shake a bit more. I have a heavier stand for my iPad that doesn't vibrate at all, but that one is really heavy and pretty expensive. This one isn't as sturdy, but it's much lighter and easier to travel with, and costs much less. So if you want an inexpensive and highly portable laptop/tablet stand that is pretty solid and works well, I recommend it.

Neat laptop stand, not perfect - but close!
I have a Dell Latitude E5270 13' laptop. I thought this would be perfect for this to display my phone and laptop at my desk. This stand is most sturdy when the laptop on it is more like a MacBook Air. Ideally, I wanted to have my laptop stand straight up to be level with my screen. However, there is not enough leverage to keep the stand upright with the weight of my laptop (3.4 lbs). Therefore I have resorted to having it not exactly upright. I wish the two prongs at the bottom were farther apart. Right now they rest right above my click pads. When my phone is sitting in the stand and it is on silent and buzzes, it is quite loud. An improvement would be to have some sort of cushioning in that holder to absorb some of the vibration. With having to bring the larger arm so far forward, I wouldn't be able to display my phone in the holder anyway and still be able see it.

Love, love, LOVE this stand!!
This product is fabulous!! I recently took on a full-time role in the legal field that required me to work remotely in my home office. For some time, I had been elevating my 13" MacBook Pro using a stack of books (amateur move, I know!) to alleviate neck pain that happens every time I'm on deadline (I'm also a freelance writer). At first I was afraid the stand wasn't going to work because it kept toppling over every time I tried to put the laptop into the front slots. Once I realized I had to counterbalance the weight of the computer by leaning the back of the stand forward more, I was in business.I love the clean look of the stand and the way it seamlessly integrates into the clean lines of my home office. I love that I always know where my cell phone is because it's right in front of me. I also love that I have so much more room on my desk and that there's a built in cord keeper to banish tangled cords and keep the charger close by. Oh, and that neck pain? Banished! An extra bonus is the fact that this folds flat and comes with a very nice case for traveling. I know I will be using this in the future, but for now I am thrilled to have found this item. One caveat to the ad for buying a wireless keyboard to go with this stand: I just couldn't bring myself to spend almost $100 for a bluetooth keyboard. After doing some shopping and reading reviews, I found one that looks VERY MUCH like the $100 Apple brand for $10. Yes. $10. I have been using that keyboard for several months and love it. If you're curious which one, check my reviews and you'll find it.

UPDATED REVIEW: So far, very good.
I took off the plastic case from my laptop so that I can use the stand. However what I notice is that over time, the hinges wear down, and the laptop becomes too heavy to be maintained by the stand. I have to now prop the laptop against the wall to help support the stand, as it is no longer able to maintain the weight of the laptop. I would not by this again.Writing a new review here (previous below). I used this for a few mths and it worked perfectly. Then I went and bought a case for my Mac to prevent scratches. Now the laptop seems to be too heavy for the stand, and it won't stay put. If u have a case on ur laptop, this does not work. The laptop becomes too heavy. When I type it kind of wobbles the laptop, but it holds up well. Using a week now, so i will see how many years of daily use I can get from it.

Don't give up! Find your sweet spot! :)
Okay, At first I was very upset because I could not keep this from falling over either backwards! But after asking a question from previous purchasers (love that function). One of them told me that you have to keep adjusting it to get your "sweet spot" ..which varies from person to person. Depends on the computer you have. I kept at it and I can say now that it's the best thing! I do not leave home without it. I have even had to tell several strangers in my local coffee shop where I got it from. It's very sturdy for me. I prefer to use the phone slot for the lower part of mob MacBook. To type comfortably. I use it for my Macbook 12" A1534.

Good product, especially for the sale price
Good product, especially for the sale price. It works as advertised and holds both my 12 " MacBook and iPhone pretty nicely. The aluminum is nicely finished. I leave my MacBook open in the stand like it shows in the pictures and the unit is plenty stable. It certainly is not "rock solid" and does shake a bit but I am not worried about it falling over if someone hits my desk etc. The mechanism that holds the position of the joints could be a little beefier but seem to work ok. There is also some play in the mechanism. I wish it had a little more variability in the angles that it locks at. Not a deal breaker though. I was able to find a perfect angle for my MacBook. Folds up quickly and easily into a flat and compact unit. I would have no qualms recommending it to a friend.

Good stand - recommended for general light use
Good product raises laptop well, and travel is easier as it folds. It raises the screen about a foot off the desk, so either as a stand alone it works well, or to sit alongside a larger monitor. The colour is a bit shinier than the apple silver, so it's not perfect - but you won't notice from a distance.I use it for going to regular client sites where I need to use a desk, but don't have an external monitor - easy to fold and carry and works for the day. It does wobble a bit, but does not collapse or feel like it's about to.For:Does what you expect - raises the laptop to head heightFolds away small and fits well in travel bagMatches desktop well and looks goodAgainst:Silver is a bit metallic to matchNot as stable as a solid stand, but easily strong enough for someone who isn't clumsy

Great stand, perfect height
I'm using this with a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014)The thing I like most about the stand is that it raises the screen to eye level, unlike other stands which can be shorter in height and in return saving my neck from looking down at the screen all the time. This stand will only accommodate up to 13" laptops according to the packaging, I wouldn't try anything bigger as it would most likely topple over.

I liked the idea of this
I liked the idea of this, that I could have my Mac and iPhone below each other and next to my monitor. The quality of materials and manufacturing are very good. The issue is stability. It is not at all stable and by the time I had balanced my Mac I could not read the screen. I tried multiple positions but in the end, I gave up and sent them back. Shame really liked the concept and the quality of manufacturing.

Great quality compact laptop stand with a little wobbliness
I was looking for something like this for a long time and it's perfect for the intended purpose. As others stated it's a little bit wobbly but I think it's obvious this is not meant to be used while typing on your laptop. It's sturdy, great quality and I don't think you can beat the compact size.

good workmanship but not stable when set at a high height
I bought this to have a portable laptop stand. The quality of the stand itself seems good, the joints are easy to move using a push button. However, you will need to adjust the stand very carefully to avoid unbalancing it either forward or backward - the 'sweet spot' is quite small and gets smaller the higher you want the laptop to be raised. As I am tall I need it to be set very high, but it was not safe to use it wth my 13" laptop.Perhaps this would be better with a 11" laptop

VERY UNSAFE!! It constantly flips back and slams my Macbook on the desk!
I bought this product in April (7 months ago) and I have to say that I am not happy with this product at all. When I first got it I thought it was fantastic, however, for some reason it has started to flip back, thus launching my Macbook backwards and leading it to bang on my table. It's so unsafe and the fact that such an expensive piece of equipment is being flung across the table (and banging quite hard on it) just isn't right. If this thing breaks my Macbook because of it's shoddy design, I will definitely be in touch with its sellers and makers - they can buy me a replacement Mac.

Dispatched and arrived on time. Functions reasonably well, using it with my MacBook Pro. One thing - the locking mechanism where the adjustable hinges was a little bit clunky and jammed a bit. I had to work the joint with lots of movement to free up what I think is a spring mechanism. Nearly thought I had to return it. But yeah - it's ok for the price. This is just an initial review. Not sure what any long term use has upon the stand.

not super sturdy but does its job
Got two units to be used in two brand new mac laptops:a) Mac Pro 2016, no issues, not super sturdy but does its job.b) Mac Air 2016 (similar size and weight as the above). Miserably fails, as it literally catapults the laptop, plus stability backwards is non-existent. It can break your laptop in 2s if left unattended.

Looks like a promising bit of kit, however it's cheap shortcuts make it a poor product.
The joints aren't solid, so anything bigger than a MacBook Air will start feel a bit shaky on top. It's hinges are let down with cheap plastic fixtures rather than solid metal parts. Other simpler designed stands made from one-piece are more studier.

Not as big as expected and had to buy further stand for more security (with it being a work laptop). would be ok for a home laptop though or occasional use.
