Peace of Mind
Seems to work good so far! Fits on our 2 year olds finger and reads his oxygen level. Saves making unnecessary trips to hospital.

Fool Proof
I love how simple this product is. Just place it on your kids finger and hit the only button on it to turn it on. Gives you the heart rate and oxygen levels on the screen. I am a pediatric nurse and I recommended all my friends get one of these for their kids, as it's a nice thing to have when your child is sick with an upper respiratory virus and you aren't sure how to look out for retractions or other signs of difficulty breathing, especially if signs can be subtle. I would not use this as my sole determination on how sick my child is, but it is nice to double up on what you're physically seeing and what the monitor is showing you is going on in the body.

Accurate readings but doesn't work well very young children
Our trach- vent baby is transitioning from full-time ventilator to an HME and only requires spot checks of his O2 levels during the day as opposed to wearing a pulse ox constantly. I looked for a product that would be more than as the medical company has no such thing available, and spot checking him during the day with his standard pulse-ox is very inconvenient, especially on the go. This particular device is recommended for ages 2 and up. Our son is 18 months, but I was unable to find any other portable device like this that was recommended for an age under 2. So I decided to give this one a try in the hopes that it would work anyway. It does take on average two to three minutes to register a reading. It shows the wavelength almost immediately but does not return a reading for quite a while. Obviously it can be very difficult to get an 18 month old to sit still long enough to get a good reading. I will say, however, that when I do get a reading it is accurate. I cannot say that this is necessarily a flaw in the design as it states specifically that the device is intended for ages 2 and up, but I do wish that this company, or another, but develop a portable pulse-ox like this one that could accommodate infants. Our son was a micro preemie so even at 18 months he is much smaller then most babies. So I doubt at 2 years of age device will be able to as it should anyway because of his smaller size. Overall, however, I think it is a very good product, I just wish it could accommodate smaller fingers.

Very helpful and the grandkids don't mind using it at all
Super handy during flu season to monitor the grandkids when they're sick. Not scary or uncomfortable, so they don't mind having it take their reading in the least. Well worth having in the house, as one of the indicators to tell you if you need to take them to the urgent care center (low oxygen level) right away, or not.

Good device for small children
This has been a lifesaver while monitoring my now 4 year old’s asthma. Have been using this device for 2 years now. It’s helped us identify that we needed emergency help two separate times and given us peace of mind otherwise when she gets sick. Would recommend.

Works good for small fingers
This works good to read smaller fingers (8 year old). We had another one of these that would NOT read my childs finger so I was happy to see that this one worked perfectly.
