Bought this after recent rotator cuff/bicep surgery and it worked great! Cold lasted for several hours and design held it in place perfectly on my shoulder and bicep. Very pleased with quality and ease of use.

My wife broke her shoulder and required major orthopedic surgery. In physical therapy she found relief with a cold wrap. This product fits wonderfully and with the straps stays in place. It also allows her to move around the house etc. without it shifting position. The entire pack fits easily into the refrigerator freezer but never freezes solid. It is pliable to be fitted to her arm and shoulder.I would use a towel or pillow case so that the skin doesn’t get frost bite from direct contact.It helped greatly with the swelling and pain from both the injury and post surgery trauma.

This is easy to use and provides nice cooling relief. I just injured my shoulder. This is helping a lot as I actually use it. It comes with a bag to store in the freezer. The instructions are clear. It does say the cooling lasts 20 minutes, but I'd say it's closer to 30. It has a soft side and a side that is vinyl and a bit colder.The only complaint I have is that it does melt and drip water on the couch or wherever you are. This is not a huge problem, but I do keep a paper towel handy to catch drips.You can put it on by yourself, which is a plus.

I had a broken shoulder and torn rotator cuff. This was a life saver. Anyone going through this knows how difficult it is to maneuver your body let alone keep an ice pack in place and surround the pain. This was the best I found. It’s a soft fabric so you don’t need a cloth between you and the pack, it stays cold just as much as any other ice pack and it covers a really good portion of the shoulder area. The straps are so helpful and keeps everything in place. If you have a broken shoulder/torn cuff you’ll need help putting it on but you’ll need help with everything anyway.. otherwise you’ll easily be able to work this alone. I’ve lent mine out (always come back with high praises) and I’ve recommended it to others. Hope this helps.

I’ll say 3.5 stars. I have problems with both of my rotator cuffs and overall this does help, but there’s some definite areas in need of improvement before I give 5 stars. Here’s my issues with this:1. It’s so bulky! It takes up a lot of freezer room and is noticeably bulky when trying to put it on.2. I have to disagree with other reviews saying it’s easy to put on. Doing this by yourself is challenging, and especially if you’re having active shoulder pain. Save yourself a lot of grief and have someone help you put it on.3. It’s heavy. The cold feels nice but it’s big and bulky, so when my shoulder is inflamed the weight of this actually gives me a bit of pain.4. Though it lasts long enough to provide me some relief, it doesn’t last the 20 minutes it recommends to ice it for.Overall, it’s still worth it!

I was looking for a way to ice my shoulder and upper arm due to injury. For years I've been using wide ace bandages and soft ice packs, and clumsily wrapping it around the shoulder. Now that I'm older, I just can't do those machinations, and wanted a better way to fasten an ice pack to that area. This works GREAT. The straps are nice and wide, the Velcro holds well, and it's easy to put on and adjust once you get the hang of it. The coldness lasts as long as any other soft ice pack I have, and I have a lot. A few things to note: This is NOT to ice your lower neck. it's not made that way. I am only 5'2" so on me, I get part of the pack touching my neck. But the straps are not meant to hold it against the neck, so if ice to the neck is what you need, move on. Also, it comes with a large plastic bag with instructions that say keep in bag when freezing. To me that's high maintenance. Do they expect this to leak at any time? If it does, I will revise this review.

Covers the entire shoulder and incision sites. Stayed cold for the duration of ice therapy. Definitely recommend for pain relief post surgery!!

If you need a shoulder ice pack this is the one for you. Used it when I tore my rotator cuff. Easy to put on and fits the shoulder well, stays cold for a while. Great for the price.

This provides instant relief to my aching shoulder. I really like that it is strapped securely in place so that I can do other things while my shoulder gets iced. (I was previously using a bag of frozen peas...which works, but requires that I hold the peas in place. :( )The shoulder ice pack is easy to use and does a great job. I am a petite female and I was worried that the bag might be too bid for me, but it is easily adjusted to fit snuggly and stay in place. It tightens around my bicep (barely - it is slightly big there for me) and it tightens firmly across my chest.
