Portable Air Conditioners 8,000 BTU AIRO COMFORT, AC Unit Floor Standing with Remote Control & DYI Installation Kit

This is my first time ever buying an air conditioner and I’m super satisfied with this one! I got the 8,000 BTU and it worked perfect for my cabin on a camping trip and kept me and my family cool. It has the option of air conditioning, dehumidifying and just fan and they all work great. I have used it in my bedroom which is a bit of a larger room and I’ve noticed it doesn’t cool as great as it does in a smaller room. I would recommend getting the 10,000 btu if you are trying to cool a bigger room in your house. I am still very satisfied with the product. The installation was difficult for me with the foam pieces and the other plastic attachments that form together for the window won’t fit in my window so I just use the piece with the hole. The remote works well too. The air conditioner doesn’t make much noise at all and if it does I think the issue is it just needs to be drained which I’ve been doing frequently to keep it intact for as long as possible(at least once a week). The air conditioner itself looks great and not tacky and the led light on the front to tell you what temperature it is makes it look higher tech and classy if you will lol. When you turn it on too it’s just like the videos and (excuse my lack of wording lol) air dispenser opens up automatically and it looks so cool! My only wish is I wish it had handle bars for carrying up and down stairs but it has wheels that I’m happy about. There’s sorta pockets on the machine to carry it kinda but they’re not the best for carrying. My overall review is for the price- the quality is outstanding and you would’ve thought this was a 500-600 dollar air conditioner. It took me months trying to figure out which air conditioner was worth it and this one definitely is.

I bought this portable AC for my home office and bedroom area upstairs. As one of the many WFH people I now need to spend a lot of time at home and keep air conditioner on all the time for the whole house is not the most energy efficient way, and my home AC quit working in the hottest day 3-year in row! Got this unit last week and so far it's doing a fantastic job.Shipping is very fast. Installation took less than 10 mins and very straightforward. The board used on the window is adjustable so don't be nervous - I was for a second. Power on and that's it. I started to feel the cool air immediately and the room temperature starts to drop after 10 mins or so. I also like the remote control - don't have to walk away from the Zoom calls to make any adjustment as I was used to. The unit itself looks clean and high-end. Definitely a statement piece in the WFH time!It's not a cheap product. If you had similar experience of calling for & waiting for AC contractor to help in 90F+ days, you'd agree with me that the price is very reasonable for a life-saving back-up, or an smart/alternative way to cool down part of your house.

Update: Updating again. May 26, 2024, and still no response of any kind from the manufacturer. I am beginning to think the person who answers the phone doesn't actually do anything and the "we'll escalate your issue" is just a ploy. I have not received so much as a case number assigned to my issue much less a resolution. Dropping to 1 star in response.Update: The unit condenser no longer turns on so it doesn't cool any longer (it only blows air). Didn't last even a year. I called the manufacturer on April 26, 2024, submitted their requested paperwork via email on that day (they even require video proof) as they required. I was told I should hear back within a couple business days. No response. I followed up my email on May 1, 2024; still no response. I called again on May 7, 2024, and an agent said he would "attempt to escalate" my case, so I am still waiting for help. Please be aware that their website shows only positive reviews, so they are selectively highlighting only positive reviews there, which is actually not legal. I will post an update here if I ever hear back.-----------------------------------------------------------Last summer was extra brutal in Texas this year, so we decided to buy an extra AC unit to help our aging split systems that were struggling to cool at all. We bought this unit in June 2023. Cools great, but after just over a month, the unit started to leak underneath and onto the floor damaging our bamboo flooring in places. We placed a cookie sheet under the unit (the only thing that would fit) to catch the water because we can't afford to not run the unit with the extreme heat. At first it was just a smaller puddle of water, but it quickly grew to the point where I had to "drain" the cookie sheet at least 3 times a day or it would fill up and spill over onto the floor. :( I tried contacting the manufacturer but discovered the links are dead; there is no way to contact them. I call Amazon and their customer service was great! They sent us out a new unit, which took a couple weeks to arrive, and we sent the first unit back.The second unit arrived the end of July 2023. It was running great, cooling the main living space. It wasn't moved; it stayed in the same location. Nothing bumps it; we have no kids or pets pressing the buttons, etc.; it is treated very gently. And then last night--water is suddenly pooling under the unit again. :'( Why???! For anybody wondering, yes, I drain both the bottom and top (the dehumidifier) tanks on a regular basis, every 2 to 3 days; I don't wait for the tank light to come on. Doesn't seem to matter. Since the unit is still functioning, I don't see the point in returning it as long as it works because it appears this could be some sort of structural defect causing this leak to occur.

At first this AC worked great and cooled out large master bedroom perfectly. We did run into some issues about a month and a half in though. It appeared that the temperature gauge in it was malfunctioning. We had it set to 68 degrees but it would shut off well before the room cooled to that temperature. Then, the fan or motor started making a grinding noise while in use. You could hear it was going to break. Then finally the AC and the fan portion would just shut off after a period of time, randomly. You could still see the display but nothing else functioned at all. That being said, the manufacturer was very easy to deal with and shipped out a replacement with no hesitation. Shipping the original unit back is required (duh) but you simply use the replacement's box and they issue a shipping label. Easy Peezy other than getting it to UPS since it is heavy. So far the new unit is running great!

This is the best portable a/c I have ever purchased. Easy to install and boy does it cool!! I am currently using it in my 288 sq ft kitchen and it's so nice.

Trouble shooting is everywhere with anything. I little something with the computer and it goes off mode. It obliged you to a certain temperature regarding the temperature of your home. Can’t manually ask for more cool. It decide for you. Even at this price and talking about price, this thing is VERY heavy and you pay for return. So in fact it’s not really garantie or returnable. I have big money regret.
