These are my first blocking mats and am a bit disappointed. Description states they are self-healing yet the holes made when using the provided pins remained. Additionally, the pictures are misleading and I had expected the pins to come in a plastic case but instead came in a paper envelope. Lastly, the description also states the mats are numbers in order to easily assemble (they have to be connected a specific way in order for the lines to match) but I can’t find any numbers anywhere on the front, side or edges of the mats.There aren’t any included instructions if your new to blocking like me but at least we have the internet.Pics included (as well as bonus cat picture).

If you have been shopping on Amazon for blocking mats, you will find quite a few and the choices can be overwhelming to the new knitter like myself. I chose this set over the cheaper ones mainly because no one mentioned annoying or foul smell, and there is NO SMELL, also these are a bit thicker then the cheaper ones. They come with a sturdy bag that will easily fit on any shelf or under your bed, and included in the side pocket are 100 "T" pins. They fit together nicely and the grid lines all line up. I could not be more pleased with this set!

First blocking mats bought as I'm a new knitter (thanks Covid! 😁). They work just great. I'm working on a 20 block sampler afghan and 10 blocks in, decided to start blocking my finished squares. Glad I bought it. The flannel case is nice to keep them together and dust free.

This blocking kit works well and is easy to use. I do wish though that the foam was a bit more "self-healing." The pin holes persist after the pins have been removed and I can tell from that that these foam pieces might not last as long as I'd hope.

Buy these! Don’t waste your money on any others to save money. These are thicker, sturdy and have a very nice case. I am 100% happy with my purchase!!
