I have two. The white on the letters wears off after a while but never bothered me. It's not a travel case. You don't want to leave it loose in your purse. I wouldn't say the latch is loose but if I did put it in my purse, I'd expect at least one lid to open due to jostling. When I travel I put them in a plastic baggie. They fit perfectly. I like the size; there seems to be plenty of room but they're not large cases. Not ugly when left on the desk.

I think the lids open to easy. I like a case that has a lock on it. Cheap plastic, I gave it away.
