Designed with your active adventures in mind, the waterproof waist pack can take a quick dunking, so if you do go OverBoard, your stuff is safe. Made of TPU, this waterproof waist bag seals tight with the trusty fold seal system, making it suitable for quick submersion and it floats when dropped in water too.

All the Utility and functionality of Soap on a Rope and a Swiss Army Knife made in Poland. Complicated Awkward and overpriced
This thing is so hard to figure out I did not study it intently. It may actually be waterproof and well made, but it strikes me as something well meaning folks would buy as a gift not realizing how unwieldy it is. There are not a lot of great waterproof fanny packs on the market and it is something important. When you do find one, make sure the waist clasp that locks the belt together is not cheap and subject to opening. Seattle Sports for example uses very cheap clasps. I also suggest always using a zip lock bag to hold the contents of the case in case it leaks. A ziplock bag may save you in the event of a slow little leak. To give a better idea of how useless this product seems to me, if you ever have anyone walk the plank on your boat, give them one of these cause I don't expect it will do them much good.

Waterproof if used properly.
This pack survived 2 weeks on my side while on very open sail boat getting frequently splashed. It also survived me jumping in and swimming for short periods where it was entirely submerged. It definitely kept its contents dry the entire time. It comfortably held: an EPIRB, iphone, passport, wallet, small medical kit. There are two ways to close it, one i am sure works, the other I doubt would work. You can roll up the top (3 times min) and then clip the ends to themselves (like a traditional dry bag) or down to the sides of the pack. If you do the later (as shown in the product picture) It would be hard to get it tightened down enough to be actually be water *proof.* The clips themselves are really too large to allow for much tightening down. I used it with the top clips looped around to clip to themselves and it kept my stuff dry.other strange design choices:the bottle holder is kind of strange in that it stores in a zippered pouch when not in use, so when you want to use it, now you have the flap of the pouch hanging down and looking odd.The most disappointing thing about this pouch is that there is no loops to attach things to it. My workaround was to attach s-biners to the useless side clips.Worth noting that dry bags aren't really designed to stay waterproof if kept submerged for a long time--so i wouldn't expect this to stay waterproof while say snorkeling. Maybe, but If you plan to do that, might as well put things in a ziploc bag inside just to be safe.

Looks the part but doesn't perform
Ok, I REALLY wanted this pouch to work! I run on various obstacle courses that have water hazards and needed something to carry my license, extra batteries for my Go-PRO camera and the specs fit the bill. I got it and the pouch looked solid. It looked like it would easily be able to be wrapped around me while I swam across, jumped in and did various water activities. I used it first on the 5K Rugged maniac race and it performed beautifully keeping my things dry and thought I had found my pouch. I then used it a second time about 3 weeks later and it again kept my things dry but I notice that the part of the pouch that keeps the belt attached to the pouch started to unglue. I didn't think that this was a big thing since it still kept my things dry and I thought that it wouldn't continue to come apart. I then used it a third time for another 5K and at the end of it the pouch holder was half way unglued and the pouch itself seemed like it didn't keep my things as dry. Used three times and coming unglued is NOT acceptable. Keep in mind that I NEVER put the pouch or it's belt in a washing machine. It was always rinsed by hand gently.I ultimately ordered some Clam otter cases to put my things into and then put them into the pouch since it was starting to lose it's water proofness. I now just wrap the belt around the roll just to keep it attached to me and the clam cases keep my things dry. What a disappointment.

Warning: NOT WATERPROOF
I might have given this a higher rating if it did not have the word "Waterproof" embroidered on it. It is not and if you're using this in any type of wilderness situation thinking so could be dangerous. I bought this with the intention of carrying a cell phone with me on a tubing excursion, however being a scuba diver I pool test all my equipment prior to use. This thing will not keep anything dry even in water at surface, let alone at depth. Any event that might cause you to fall in the water will put any items you have in it at risk of being soaked. If you were relying on some kind of electronics or paper map and don't have a backup you could be in trouble. For example, if you are kayaking and flip or in some way get hooked and washed over by the current you'll be in trouble. The only situation I would trust this in is a heavy rain. Too bad, because other than "waterproofing" it seems well made and well designed. I'll keep it and use it as a regular fanny pack.

Nice bag, fit, but not waterproof
We took this on our beach vacation. While in the water, I wore it loose around my chest, with the straps under my armpits, and the bag floating above e water at my back. Even floating like this, without submersion for more than a second, water seeped inside the bag. Thankfully I had read other reviews and triple-ziplock-baggied the contents of this waist pack. I looked ridiculous all-around (opening & closing multiple ziplocks), but our camera, passport, phones were dry. I do like the construction, and I really like the fit. We'll use it again, but always with ziplocks.

GOOD, BUT...
... while the construction is good (as all OB products), the belt and the way the removable bag attaches to the belt is not designed well! The belt loops on the back of the bag are set down the middle instead of across the top, making the bag SAG from the belt, not hang, thus putting unnecessary stress on the glue points that WILL eventually compromise the waterproof seal. The belt has a nice zip-away pouch to hold a water bottle on one side, but the other side should have another pocket to hold things like keys or objects that don't need protection from water instead of the stupid, unnecessary wide fabric. So, I removed the belt and use the bag separately.

Avoid like the plague - NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE
I purchased this useless product to use on holiday in Salento in Italy. I wanted something that would keep my valuables safely with me whilst snorkelling on the Adriatic coast. To say that this product is useless and award it one star is to afford it a completely unwarranted credibility, it is absolutely useless. The first time that I used it I trusted the marketing claptrap that sold it to me in the first place, and put my valuables in the ‘WATERPROOF’ section and entered the sea to spend 40 minutes snorkelling. On emerging from the water everything in the ‘WATERPROOF’ section was sodden and wet through, my wallet was ruined, parking ticket everything, fortunately I had baulked at committing my iPhone to the tender mercies of this ghastly product on first use The front pocket is only splash proof so I didn’t expect much from that. Trust me, please don’t even take a punt on this junk, I used it properly but it is just NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE despite the marketing b0ll0cks that accompanies it. I am stuck with the bl00dy thing now. I would be better off with a £5 bumbag from the market that I could throw away at the end of my holiday than this absolute rubbish. PLEASE BE WARNED don’t make the same mistake that I did in being swayed by the techno marketing sales babble on Amazon, this item is absolute cr@p!

Perfect for carrying all your valuables including money
Perfect for carrying all your valuables including money, credit cards and even a large smart phone - you can swim with this and it is perfectly waterproof (tested) and the usual high quality from Overboard one comes to take for granted (we have two rucksacks and two VHF radio cases which are also waterproof and float!)
