It's a lovely attractive handy little bottle, it claims to be dishwasher safe though, but it isn't. I've had this through the dishwasher once, only once, and water quite obviously was always going to make its way under the badly designed coloured plastic cap cap/cover thing at the bottom of the bottle. Once water gets underneath that, its game over. The dishwasher water is dirty, it festers under that area and turns to a mouldy manky janky rotten stew of filth that you never want to look at whilst you're drinking water and you can't clean it, that area isn't accessible. Bad design.

The bottom blue bit does have a teeny bit of a gap that is so small only the dishwasher can shove stuff into it....So now my bottle has a very thin line of something between the blue bottom and inner clear plastic - not a big deal and I don't mind but germophobes might struggle hard with this.This isn't a threat to your health though - it's on the outside of the container, just under the blue plastic piece.I still love the bottle and carry it all throughout the house.

The actual bottle is not shaped to stand up, so theres a coloured base glued on. The base has holes in and allows water to get in and stain between the bottle and base. This seems mostly an issue when using a dishwasher. It's a shame, as all that was required really was to shape the bottle with a flat base. Really stupid design, making it not possible to properly clean.

Claims of being fine in dishwashers are absolute lies. First time putting through dishwasher left with a minging ring of scum between the bottle and the coloured base. Tried soaking in steriliser fluid, still just as disgusting . Probably won't do you any harm, but not a good look especially when used in a work environment. Tried contacting Soda Stream directly but no response.

I have really enjoyed using my sodastream machine and this bottle has bern perfect for taking fizzy water out and about with me. The carry strap is strong and makes it a lot easier to cart about. I use it pretty much daily
