Journey of a Creative Genius
Very interesting read about the life and times of one of the most well-known rock gods ever to live on the planet. I haven't finished it yet, but so far it is really engaging and delves into what drives Nikki's amazing, creative mind once he learned to channel all that energy into his music. One wonders if he had ever founded one of the most rocking bands on earth if it weren't for his scattered childhood, filled with insecurity and rarely a sense of belonging, invaded by feelings of abandonment that turned to rage and drug addiction. Kudos to this man who one day saw the light and decided to do the work to get clean. I don't know if this book explores that like Heroin Diaries does, but it does provide insight into his state of mind as he tried to cope with dysfunctional family problems that were not his fault. Rock on Nikki, you are an inspiration to millions who are trying to shed their demons and learn how to love themselves.

I first saw Motley in 1983 17 days after Shout @ the Devil was released
This is a pretty good book with good stories and gives you a bit more insight into who Nikki is. I enjoyed the book and it was a pretty quick read because I wanted to keep going each time I picked it up.I felt like there was a lot more that he wanted/should have put in the book. I had a feeling that there was a "breakthrough" coming at some point but it never happened. Clearly, Nikki is comfortable where he is in life and grateful for where he is.I think he has become a conservative thinking man and maybe even finding that he would rather cry out to God than shout at the devil and I hope he gives into that. It doesn't mean he can't still rock (Alice Cooper, Dave Mustaine, Blackie Lawless) but imagine what Go could do with Nikki's life.

Another great read from Nikki Sixx
Like Heroin Diaries this was a really enjoyable read. Nikki Sixx proves again that being an author is another of his many talents. As the title describes this is his first 21 years right before starting Motley Crue. And like Heroin Diaries it gives a very open and honest account of the challenges in his life and the drive to overcome them. It also provides a really good account of what it was like to be a struggling musician back in the early days of hard rock in Hollywood. I definitely recommend this book.

Excellent writing, definitely keeps your attention!
The Heroin Diaries is a must and so is this one. Couldn’t put either of them down after the first page. Definitely a great read if you enjoy autobiographies or are a fan of Nikki Sixx/Motley Crue! Such a talented artist with an interesting and unconventional background to say the least. The best part is that he’s using some proceeds to help others.

fantastic book
I loved this and would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of his or montley Cru. This really showed me who Nikki really is and I have much more respect for him as a man now then I do as a musician. I can’t wait to read his next release.

Excellent book
Nikki Six is a great author, all of his books are equally great, this was an interesting story, it really makes me want to go visit all of the places that he used to play in California.

Awesome!
Outstanding book! If you have already read his other books including the dirt, and the heroin diaries she will not be disappointed! Nikki Sixx has an unbelievable talent in expressing his life, sorrow, and pain, not only in music, but as a storyteller in all artistic works!

The first 21: by Nikki Sixx
I've read the Dirt 4 times since I discovered it and have recommended it to several people who have loved it. I found this book tame in comparison. Nikki had an average life before becoming a big rock star and was a little disappointed that I didn't learn much more about him. It was still a good read but left me craving more of the debauchery that made the dirt so good. Would be down for more dirt and stories on the road.

The creation of a Rock Legend
It was great to go deeper into the vague stories you’ve heard throughout Nikki’s life and career. It just shows if you fight hard for what you believe in, your dreams will come true.

Nikki Sixx Doesn’t write a “bad” book!
I have yet to read a book from Nikki Sixx that doesn’t grab you from the first sentence. Not only gifted in songwriting, he is a very gifted author.
