Works great, its just very fragile. A metal one would be nice but couldn’t find one.

Strong and worked great.
My setup is a Garmin Striker Vivid 5cv and a Pelican Mustang 100x. This mount is not plug and play for my Garmin but that is something easily addressed. I will talk about that at the end. I have had the Mustang for a few years now and recently received the Striker for Christmas. I decided on this mount because the base is flat and the unit looked strong. I like it. I don't understand the reviews saying it flexes. It never flexed for me and I was out in the middle of some big lakes jumping decent sized waves made by ski boats etc. As folks have mentioned it does not have a transducer mount compatible with a Garmin transducer. However there are workarounds. In fact I was in a hurry and I used the trolling motor attachment that came with my transducer and ran wire ties through it in several directions. It didn't move and was a dirt cheap solution. I will try to grab it and upload an image later as an edit. I also ordered a different top part because the one it comes with is not compatible with a Garmin 5cv. It is not wide enough and lacks the proper hole placement. This too is easily addressed. I bought a different top mount that does work for a Garmin 5cv in the same ball size. They are here on Amazon. None of this is the fault of the mount. I love the mount and it is strong. I just needed to make adjustments for my setup. Something I knew I would need to do.

Great for kayak depth finder
Used it yesterday and it sat just inches under the water and gave my depth finder transducer a stable (per kayak movement/waves) base.

NO SCREWS!
I don't see why it doesn't come with any screws.... Now I have to go outta my way to figure out which screws i need and its just inconvienent. Other that that its pretty simple to install.

It works!
I don’t think you go this route for perfection but it works well enough. The depth measurements are helpful as well as underwater structures. I like that it’s easily removable.
