Heartwarming
I've read this series multiple times since the first time, and I still love it. Sandry and Briar and Daja and Tris are unique, and I love the magic style that gets explained here. Common craftsman style and I really love that.

Great story, beginning!
Read many times, I love this series and now can read whenever instead of waiting for books in the library.

Cozy, feel-good fantasy
I enjoyed this story about misfit children finding a home as they realize their own worth. In some ways, the story reminded me of TJ Klune's THE HOUSE IN THE CERULEAN SEA. I did find the initial transition between each child choppy and confusing, and I didn't understand how young the characters were until they had arrived at the circle, but I still enjoyed the story and characters. One thing I thought particularly well done was the description of craft-based magic. I'd recommend this book to adults and children alike.

Finding strength and friendship
In a world that expects one thing only of Sandry, she defies expectations to find her own path. Raised to be wealthy and have fun, she instead finds purpose in working with thread… despite others thinking that it’s beneath her. Having lost her family, she finds a band of friends and weaves them together to be strong and true. You are not what others expect, you are you, and only you can decide what your life will become. Read first as a preteen, I revisit as an adult and share with children and teens who need to hear that privilege doesn’t take away their ability to choose their own path.

Tamora Pierce Feels Like Coming Home
I read the Circle of Magic books decades ago, and I'm reading them again. After I found these four books of Pierce's I bought and read everything she wrote. I was enthralled and excited by her characters. This, the first of the Circle books, introduces the four magical children who grow to be wonderful, magical beings. Although this is titled as Sandry's book, it really is about all four. Please: if you are a preteen, young adult, adult or have children you consider your own in any of those categories, buy these books and the ones that follow them. Then get her other series: the Lioness, Protector of the Small, Immortals and on. You will never regret teaching your young (or yourselves) the lessons to be had in these pages. They go down easy and stay forever.

Still as amazing as I remembered!
I first read this series 20 years ago when I was a teenager. It’s a wonderful story with amazing writing quality. About every five years I reread the series again. Every time I read it the books capture my imagination and take me to places that magically appear from their pages. I would recommend this series to anyone, of any age, who enjoys fantasy.

13 years a fan and still going strong!
I am re-reading each quartet on the Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce. I grew up reading these books, and reading them again I feel so grateful to have an author capture diversity and fantasy and the different ways kids grow up in this crazy world and so many other amazing topics all in this series. Really, anything Tamora Pierce writes has touched my life in some way, has given me a new perspective or given me someone to relate to when I though no one could. I've been a fan since I was 12 years old and I know I'll be a fan for the rest of my life. At this point, at 25 years of age, still being able to relate, to be able to reminisce, and to learn more from each of the characters is phenomenal. If you've never picked up her books, Sandry's Book is always a good place to start. And if you have kids in your life, introduce them to this series. I'm waiting very impatiently for my year old nephew, and I shove it into the hands of all the kiddies I know.

楽しい悪がき
よくもまあという感じの悪がき4人組の物語。まだ読みきってないのにレビューしてるのはどうかと思いますが、この先どうなるのか楽しみです。同じ作者のSong of the LionessやTHE IMMORTALS、Protecter of the Small(これら3シリーズ12巻はPB化がまだの最後の1巻を除き全部読了)とはがらりと印象が違って面白いです。 。

Enjoyable
The first in the series, and my favourite, as Tamora Pierce presents a new way of understanding mages, power, and the interweaving of magic to create community. I enjoyed reading this for myself, and I enjoyed reading it aloud to my sons at an age-appropriate time. This is one of those books that I return to read from time to time, like visiting a long-time friend.
