Motor Rear Cover Fit for Dyson V7 V8 Vacuum Cleaner (1 Cover + 1 Filter)

I bought this for my Dyson V8 Animal when the motor cover broke. It fit perfectly and was easy to install. It is also nice to have an extra rear filter now.

This was very easy to install and fits perfectly. It really cuts done on allergens getting into the air when you vacuum using a hepa filter

The original rear cover cracked on our dyson, so I needed a replacement. This worked perfectly. Great value for the money, the vacuum is running well again. I am very happy with this purchase, it was exactly what I needed.

You don' t have many choice for this plastic parts. It will cost you but hey you wanted HEPA option.Original V7 Grey motor back cover is super tight and either you succeed in prying it open or using the 10 in. Adjustable Hack Saw to destroy the end and take out the black-sponge then swap. I went Hack Saw route.Make sure you saw off the end part of the cover to protect any wires inside.Dyson just want the motors to collect the fine dust particles on the electrical parts and once the motor board breaks want you to spend $500 for the new one.It went in after couple of push in process. Wide open part goes to the bottom then twist close the HEPA filter parts.I have noticed that there is a tiny gap after closing the filter. I used the sealing tape to block the gap around the area where filter meets the motor parts.Wow, you can feel more suction power and no more nasty smell.I am satisfied with product wish it was lot cheaper.

Old filter came right out, new one went right back it, easy peasy. Seems to function as advertised and the fit was as solid as expected. Not much to say about a replacement filter lol. It’s cost effective enough to replace ever so often and I use the vacuum daily so for me it is definitely worth it.

After dropping and breaking the vacuum cleaner, I couldn't believe how much the replacement part cost on the Dyson website. Not to mention the fact that it was out of stock. So, finally checked Amazon and found this. Way less expensive and worked great. Plus it came with the extra filter.

I used to work for Dyson, so that means I know they're a ripoff, and I can't buy their products in good conscience. I picked this up to add a post filter to a V7 absolute that I was gifted. He bought third party parts off here and the charger melted, so it was going to me, or to the landfill.I got this, snapped the post filter adapter into the back (it doesn't fit as well as the first party part, but it went in) and the post filter just.... Half way locked in. There's a visible gap and air escapes through it. Also, this filter is definitely not a HEPA filter. It's just a cheap paper filter that arrived crushed into the housing. The bayonet tabs flex away from the slots on the adapter because the plastic's incredibly thin. It's no good.I'm going to pull some strings over at my local service center, and get a real post filter from them for free.

Had to replace a broken one on a Dyson V8. It was a perfect fit and got us back up and running.
