These crimpers work great on #6 Ferrules. Would highly recommend them and would purchase them again.

Well constructed, a good tool to use for working with solar wiring.

I needed a set of ferrule crimpers for some THHN/THHW wire (6, 8, and 10gauge), but I couldn't justify higher-end brands based on my limited use. These which were the only bargain brand which I found which could handle 6 gauge. My expectations were rightfully just "so-so" considering proper ferrule crimps are in the $150++. That said: these slightly exceeded my expectations. They produce a decent, sturdy crimp with no fuss. While the action is not buttery like high end crimpers, it's not bad. Handles do feel a little cheap and there was a rusty-oil mix in the laminations of the jaws. But I expect this sort of thing at this price point. Flush clean with WD an add some 3-in-1. I can't speak to longevity and I'd guess that this is where they might not compete with higher-end tools. But for a DIY-er who needs to crimp ferrules here/there: these should fit the bill.

Used for ferrules going to my Victron Orion 30 amp DC/DC charger. Worked perfectly, requires quite a strong grip to crimp though.

Most crimp tools only go as large as 10ga. So these are more versatile.

I was expecting something more durable.

Ratchet isn't the best but it makes a nice crimp

I used it to crimp ferrules onto #8 and #10 AWG stranded wires for a solar panel installation at the circuit breaker box and the inverter panel. Crimper worked great.
