Tastes like cherry
Fresh and soft. True cherry flavor. I think they had way too much sugar on the outside. I rubbed the sugar off before eating. You can't eat only one at a time. Better grab a few or plan to walk back to get another.

The Traditional Cherry Taste (Not Sour) That They Have Had Since I Was A Kid In The 70's!!!
Anyone worried that these are a version of Cherry Slices with the "Sour Salt" (like "Sour Patch Kids") instead of the sugar crystals that they are usually covered in, can rest assured that these are the real deal. These taste just like they have tasted since I discovered them, back in the 70's, at the candy store. They arrived in a sealed bag, as fresh, soft and bursting with the jellied, cherry flavor as you could ever wish for. While I doubt they will last long enough for them to start getting hard from exposure to air after opening the bag, I would still like to suggest that the people running the business that packaged these candies for sale, consider a different method. With resealable bags a pretty standard method of packaging for foodstuffs that depend on as little air exposure as possible to retain their freshness for as long as they can, I don't think it's too much to question why they are using a bag that can't be resealed once it's opened. for sale in a bag that can't be resealed after they have been opened, After five days of being opened, in spite of the effort to have the bag top rolled as tight as possible and minimize exposure to the elements, you can start to feel them stiffening up and not being as readily chewable as they had been the first few days. I might be nitpicking a little bit, as that is the only thing I could say about them that even approaches criticism and I could go to the store and pick up some zip-lock bags to store the candy in. Fair enough. But still, as resealable bags are the norm and not the exception for candy and other products at the store that have their freshness and quality preserved and extended by using them, not using them stuck out like a sore thumb when I opened up the shipping bag they arrived in and I actually commented out loud about it being odd to see some bulk candy like this not in a resealable bag of some sort. It didn't keep me from opening up the bag and stuffing a bunch of them into my face, but I did feel the need to be careful to not rip open a giant hole and to go hunt down a clip to hold the tightly rolled up bag top in place and then a strip of tape to be sure it stayed. Just sayin', the few cents extra for going with resealable bags with your label part of the graphics on the bag, as opposed to an actual label stuck onto a non-resealable bag, would be a mere pittance when compared to how much value to your business that would result from the spike in consumer perception and favorability towards your company and the brands/products you sell/distribute. You'd think that the high quality and taste of the Cherry Slices would be doing that already. I always find it weird that it seems like the appearance of quality gets people's attention and interest, much more so than quality, itself. Although, without quality, you won't hold on to their attention and interest for very long. Damn, I really started drifting off there. To summarize: Great product, it does the long heritage of this candy type proud. Only thing that would enhance the experience of consuming the product would be for them to come in a resealable bag that would lock in their freshness for as long as the bag was closed when not eating them, like it is with Swedish Fish, Sour Patch Kids, Mike and Ike's and so on and so forth.

Taste
They were delivered and right away I knew they were stale. They were hard and had a weird taste to them. Wouldn’t suggest buying them at all.
