Works Great!
Does exactly what it is supposed to do. Keeps you from replacing older outdoor spigot. Repairs the treads.

Saved me a ton of money and aggravation
I don’t write reviews for products unless they truly work well. Saying that, this product worked well and saved me a butt load of money. The people who owned my house before me put plumber putty, primer and some sort of sealant on the spigot in my yard. Needless to say, no tools fit on the threads and I actually thought the threads were damaged. I figure I’d give this product a try, because $20 is cheaper than a couple hundred dollar job. As soon as I got it in the mail, I attached it to a ratchet wrench and worked it on and off the spigot 4-5 times. the threads actually shined afterwards. I did have to put a lot of elbow grease into it, probably because of all the product that was put on the threads before hand. Anyways all my tools fit on the spigot and there are no leaks. Saved me tons of money and aggravation!

Worked like a charm.
Outside water faucet threads were corroded so bad that I could not attach hose. Running this steel “die” onto the threads cleaned them so well that I could instantly attach my hose.

Works great!
Cleaned out the threads of my spigot easily and my hose now creates a good seal with no more leaking water at the spigot. Did exactly what I hoped it would do. 👌🏼

Fixed damaged threads on outdoor faucet
It was able to repair the damaged threads on an outdoor faucet as claimed. Starts easily but takes a bit of elbow grease to finish. I used a longer socket handle to get some extra torque.

Very good but not as effective as a cutting die
I bought this to repair threads on a faucet that someone forced an anti-siphon device from. The brass threads were badly distorted from that removal. I was able to get the threads usable but there was still some resistance when mating things to the repaired faucet/threads. As mentioned before, using oil helps but the torque required for repair was so high I was worried about damaging the pipe joints behind the faucet. A thread cutting die would have worked better but would have been far more costly.

Good Quality
I had a backflow preventer with a stubborn set screw and had to basically force it off. That messed up the threads on my spigot. I really hated to spend so much money on this tool, which I'm likely to only use once, but it worked well and got the job done.

Worked great
Had a spigot with a hose attached for maybe 20 years. Had to cut it off to remove it, and was no able to screw on another hose. Twisted on this tool slowly, and now I can use another hose just fine. Saved a lot of money compared to hiring a plumber to replace the spigot.

Fast delivery, good quality
Was delivered on time. Unfortunately my issue on my exterior valve was not the thread so I had to return it without any problem.

Saved me from hiring a plumber!
I was so skeptical this would work and was ready to make a return if this failed, but it worked wonders for me! What usually took me 5mins to screw my hose plus excessive water leakage, ended up being 15 seconds of screwing the hose with no leak! If you are looking to replace your hose bib because of calcified threads, save yourself the hassle and buy this one instead. Highly recommended to use a 3/8 ratchet as it will be progressively harder to turn getting into the deeper threads. I promise you won’t be disappointed!

This thing works!
I left my garden hose connected to the spigot over the winter. Come spring time I discovered a significant leak/spray coming from the threads. I was going to replace the spigot until I learned of this device. As others have stated, it "cleans" threads by cutting off corrosion/debris that you can't remove using a steel brush alone. The proof is in the metal "dust" that gets removed. You will need a ratchet/wrench in order to have enough leverage to thread the cleaning tool far enough to be effective. Elbow grease is not enough. It was very satisfying seeing how quick and easy it was to repair the leak. True, it might seem pricey for what seems to be nothing more than a glorified nut. However, it's a bargain considering the time/money you save from unnecessarily replacing the entire spigot. BUY THIS.

Great tool. Does exactly what it's supposed to cheaply and effectively.
Great tool. Excellent valve vs. the cost of having a plumber replace the fixtures.Essentially a thread die with a closed end for use with a 3/8" drive ratchet. The tool is square so you could also use it with an open ended wrench or crescent wrench if you don't have a ratchet available. You will need either (ratchet or wrench) to use this tool as most people won't have the hand strength to apply the force required to turn it.Very simple to use with very little skill required. If the tap isn't attached to the wall like mine is, I suggest holding the faucet with one hand while turning the tool/ratchet with the other. Make sure to tighten the tool then loosen it in small increments as the teeth re-cut the threads and repeat until the threads become recessed in the tool. Unscrew the tool, wipe or blow off the cuttings and your faucet is as good as new.I've always had issues threading hoses or "quick connects" all the way onto the faucet so they would always leak at the connection. After a few minutes on each faucet using this tool the problem was solved.
