This is a nice kit for learning to program micro controllers with the exception there is no Micro-Bit included with the kit and they are almost impossible to to purchase online. Other than that, all of the sensors, transistors and other components can be used with Arduino's and Raspberry Pi controllers for various projects. I gave this product a 4, if the Micro-Bit was included, I would have given it a rating of 5

I bought this set to use in my classroom for use with the Micro: Bit V2. I love it, the parts are good quality and easy to use. I have purchased several sets from this supplier and their product is of good quality and at a good price.

We've had a Microbit for quite a while now and it's great for teaching basic logic but it is extremely limited with the kinds of projects you can do with just the Microbit itself and eventually my kids lost interest in it (but not Scratch etc.). The Microbit system is a lot friendlier/easier of a "core" for these electronics primers than some other systems, but you can still do a lot with it if you have the extra bits and bobs that come with a kit like this one. The main attraction in this kit is the breadboard adapter that the Microbit slots into. Technically, you can do everything without it with alligator clips on the pins of the Microbit but using the adapter makes it so much faster and easier it's hard to recommend doing it any other way.All of the bits are great quality in the kit, just like Keyestudios other similar kits for other systems. They're not generic, but actually branded PCBs and look to be manufactured to a better quality than the completely no-name PCBs you get from the generic brands. I would have liked to see more printed documentation included in the kit, as it is most of what they provide is online... which is fine, it's perfectly usable, but I know that my kids (and me, too, sometimes) like something physical to reference. The tackle box style case that it comes with is pretty good in general but it's not big enough or have enough compartments to truly organize all of the contents and much of it just ends up in a pile anyway. The latches could be better on the case too, it doesn't keep it closed very well - at least not the one we received - but it gets the job done.

It's unfortunate that here in Canada, many still don't know about the BCC micro:bit which I think is a far more accessible and kid friendly than the more popular Raspberry Pi and Arduino UNO. The micro:bit is designed for education and because of this, it's better suited for my 10-year old to get into electronics projects and programming.The Keyestudio Basic Starter Kit is an excellent complement to get started with the micro:bit. It keeps all the components organized in nice case, the components are good quality and the tutorials while detailed, are still easy enough to follow. There are plenty of projects to keep my 10-year old busy and interested in assembling and coding and it is rewarding to see the excitement and sense of pride when she completes a project. Hopefully she will be able to create her own projects with the variety of modules and sensors in this starter kit.The Keyestudio Basic Starter Kit really is an awesome and accessible starter kit for the micro:bit and think kits like this can do a good job of promoting more awareness and interest in the micro:bit. Highly recommended.

Was easy to use with material and setup. Has all the pieces needed to build tiny projects with your kids. Also great for a maker who needs random spare parts. Reasonable price.
