Dirt Cheap, Quality Sound.
Don't you love when you buy the hype for a product, and it ends up living up to your expectations? meet VE monks. Probably the best non ear-intrusive earbud for the money right now. They come with a zip bag, which also comes with a set of foam covers. they are a tad big compared to other earbuds, but this really depends on your ears. I have no issues wearing them for hours on end. I ditched the foam covers, I find them obtrusive. The plastic is smooth so they wont hurt your ears. Overall, build quality is really good, the cable is a bit thicker than I expected. it should hold up well. Sound: Its hard to describe a headphone this cheap. if youre looking for price to performance, just stop reading this and get them. They are that good. Being a bit more critical, I'd still say the sound signature on these is really damn good, even compared to big boi headphones, and the respective competitors in this category. The mids are absolutely stunning. This is what everyone's raving about; the icing on the cake. the amount of detail in this range is impressive by itself, more so if you consider the price. This is no small feat for an earbud. Very spacious feel. Treble is recessed. non obtrusive, if you will. if you come from brighter headphones (DT990s in my case) youll find these a bit muffled. There is some sparkle missing, but they really grow on you after a while. It has that kind of sound signature where you want to crank the volume up. The Sony MDRE9LPs are much more sparkly than these, but they have no bass at all. Bass is ok. it's there and it's punchy. there's hardly any sub bass at all. come on, give these a break. Yincrow X6s (this earbud's main competitor) extend quite a bit more on the lower frequencies, but they are shrill to my ears. I didnt like them as much as I like these. No way to go wrong with Monks. You're getting a pair of earbuds that punch way above their price range in many aspects. Dirt cheap, quality sound.

Incredibly high quality sound regardless of price
The end of the SHE3590's production left a huge void in my life. I loved those things and I used them for everything, and with the rise of bluetooth and "true" wireless earbuds on the rise, I lost hope. Until I found these. My god, the quality is insane. They far exceed the SHE3590, AND they cost less. The sound stage is huge, everything is balanced and clear (quite analytical to be honest), yet bold and full bodied. The bass comes through but isn't overpowering, the treble resonates but doesn't sound tinny, and the mids are powerful but not boxy. I'm currently playing some Humanity's Last Breath at a very high volume and these things are so clear that I can VERY clearly hear the inversion of Buster's string orientation on his palm mutes. And even droney genres like post-rock come through crystal clear, letting you hear every detail of every chord and note. Now one thing is for certain, these are not noise cancelling, so if you're looking for that, these are not for you. However, if sheer fidelity is what you seek, you need to buy these. Even ignoring their incredibly cheap price, these sound as good as $200 earbuds. Heck, maybe still better than that. They come in a hilariously ugly package which reinforces how purposebuilt they are, and I have to say, I deeply appreciate that sentiment. This truly is a purist's product.

How do they sound amazing?
DISCLAIMER: Technically I have received this product twice because the first set of earbuds I got were defective and used. Essentially what happened was that the vendor or amazon decided to pull one of the returned buds out of a bin and sent those in place of a new pair without even testing them. If I had to base my review off of this bad experience these would easily get a zero. Thankfully amazon has a god-like return policy and the earbuds I eventually received were brand new and untouched. Now I have heard quite a few things about these earbuds, mainly that I should just get them even if I don't need them. So many people see these as unassuming and rather knock-off looking. In fact if you look at aliexpress you will see hundreds, if not thousands of earbuds that use the same housing as these ones so they clearly have an 'original' design that more or less belongs jn the 90's. The 'packaging' is honestly the funniest thing because it comes in a mere bag that you would grab off of a peg and these honestly look like they belong in the section of last minute purchase items nearby the snacks at the register. The back is even funnier with the egg person holding an emoji and seeing the message of 'Keeping it real'.... Yea.. Okay.. Inside you will see the buds and some foam tips. Please, please, PLEASE use the foam tips because they help with the audio experience. Look, the buds are not sharp and uncomfortable, but the foam will help to fill in some space and ensure these are stable inside your ears. The cable is cheap and will hold its shape until you use it often or heat it up with a hot blow dryer and they can get slightly noisey. But the rest is something to behold. Now, how did they manage to get all of that sound into such a cheap package? I couldn't answer that but do be warned, these need A LOT of fiddling before they sound anywhere decent. These do not have a good seal and will let sound leak in, which isn't too bad because you can just crank up the volume and drown out the world. Once you find the right position you will question reality as it is. Not really but the quality is beyond shocking. On amazon these are $10 and yet, they sound like $50 earbuds and it just doesn't make any sense. These are better than Samsung Akg buds and Apple Earpods, how is that even possible? Many experienced audiophiles ask that question and well, them and I have no answer. The bass and mids are very present and the high's are eh, which is shocking to hear from these kinds of earbuds, usually it's the opposite. Now the position of the earbud will WILDLY change the way these sound so be careful, in fact you will need to readjust these often if you walk around with these, but I honestly think its super worth it. These will provide a pleasing sound to those that are willing to put up with the down sides of this design. Plugging them into my portable amp just improves them that much more because you can get even more volume out of these shockingly tasteful earbuds. Please, just get them, dont even think about it. If you happen to receive a broken pair, send them back and get a new pair because they are worth the wait. If these things could get a better seal I would not hesitate to give them 5 stars.

My hat is off to Venture Electronics for what they've achieved for the audio world. Frankly, they've changed everything, and this isn't hyoerbole. They've told everybody, including all the big boys (Sennheiser, AKG, etc.), quality HIGH FIDELITY sound can be delivered to the public for pennies. Sure, this is helped achieved by the absolute BARE BONES packaging and build quality. But nonetheless, it tends to blow people's minds that such a product even exists, as it did mine. What this product does right: -Attempt at neutrality: even across the board audio representation. Nothing is recessed, nothing is artificially EQd to oblivion. Each frequency has a presence and is able to shine through without so much as touching a neighboring one. This bullet point is not just a breath of fresh air, it's a complete and utter anomaly for audio gear at or anywhere near this price point. Anything around this price is coloured (read: aggressively EQd to distract away from the horrid quality). Near total neutrality here is something that is. Not. Found. -Clarity. The sound has a presence and texture that are immensely detailed and articulate. Instruments can be analyzed. -Spacing. For ear buds, the soundstage on these is stupidly wide. Instrument seperation is stupid also. You don't have a width elements where everything scrunched together and jammed into a tiny ball. You can be "there" with the recording. -Price. This doesn't need to be explained. The pricing is what makes all of the above as true as they are. In that while yes, with no dispute all of those attributes are simply objectively true regardless of price, the price nonetheless provides that much more of a massive context for appreciation. What this product does wrong: -Lack of sub bass. Speaks for itself. Obviously very easily forgiven given the price. -Ergonomics. Comfort is a major issue. You have vast numbers of people complaining about these being able to fit in their ear canals. These aren't for tiny ears. One of my ear canals is particularly small and I can never get a totally true fit in it. Besides this, the plastic material is simply rough and uncomfortable. The foam pads help, but not by much. Why VE even toyed with the idea of ear buds is bizarre. There is a pretty good reason their existence has been so phased out over the past decade. -Quality of foam pads. The foam pads included are of horrendous quality. They're extremely difficult to attach and are hugely prone to tearing when engaged in this prolonged period of attempt to attach. Most importantly, they are far more prone even still to FALL OFF and get lost. Just taking them out of my ear is nearly always guaranteed to rip one or both of them off. The solution is to be sure to never just take them out like you would with any other normal earphone; you need to be incredibly delicate and slow. -Isolation and leakage. These are horrifically bad at letting in outside noise. Any slightly noisy environment will be letting in noise that will interfere with your listening. Sufficiently noisy environments will prevent isolation period, even when turning up to high volumes. Conversely, they also leak noise to the environment. Bad for listening in quiet spaces. But keeping them at a low volume doesn't yield bad listening, at least. To conclude, while I did indeed list off a string of noteworthy flaws, the price point negates every single one almost completely, save for the foam pad problems. The quality of the listening to price point ratio is simply too astonishingly high for any fault to properly distract. Also, it should be mentioned that initially these were sold at $5 USD. They can still be found for the price ($6, which is close) when buying through proper outlets, like the company's Ali Express page and website. However, there is an additional few dollars for shipping. That, combined with the dollar exchange, make $15 not leagues far off. Buy, buy, buy.

This is the real deal. Great sound for the price. They surprised me with their sound stage, even with the output from my phone. In case you have an amp this will scale up quite well, the sound stage opens up even more. Imaging is decent. I own the VE Zen, so if you dont compare them the imaging is great too. Although the mids are great its still got that slight "V shaped" sound. But the treble is handled quite well, I dint notice any sibillance. About the fit thats good but it kind of hurt my ears after using it for 2 hours or so, or if i sleep on them, as these are quite big for my ears. Also, altought it looks plasticy lasts quite long even upon very rough usage(it litteraly stays in my jeans' pockets), I owned one for the last 1 year and they the connector just gave, and thats on me by the way. Go for it

Precio irrisorio para una calidad excelente. Buen cable, no se enreda... No le veo ninguna pega. Solamente que el envío tarda un poco más de lo normal pero aún así, recomendado.
