The Pride

Wow, what an amazing book. I don't normally buy horror novels, but this book hooked me just from reading the Preview chapters online. The setting, the characters, everything was such a perfect fit. Creatures of legend I trying to survive and conquer a modern world. Humans fighting back. Complex characters, dealing with incredible and terrifying adversaries. Internal plotting among these adversaries, akin to court intrigue. I could not put this one down. I felt every loss, every triumph our heroes felt. I already have the sequel in hand. I'd recommend this one to anyone loving horror with a plot that's compelling and puts you right there with every well written scene and action. Also loved the bits of the local history in here. Made this feel so much more realistic. Don't miss this one!

Outstanding!! So far removed from the typical, yet twice as exciting and there were moments of sheer OMG!! Not what I was expecting at all! However 1/2 way through this book - I bought the other two of the trilogy- just in case!! Great read! Cannot wait to start the second one!! Thank you!

This story is by far one of the sharpest ever written. It is a frightening, action packed, totally believable horror story. Well, maybe not totally, but close!!! I am impressed by the length of the book and did not want it to end. Horror/thriller fans will NOT be disappointed with this book! Richard Tabaka is brilliant!

The book was simple but quite intriguing. Very descriptive and well written. I think the only real complaint I have is grammar. There quite a few mistakes and some make it so you have to reread and decipher what the author meant. But besides that it's a good read. A pretty common overall plot but not a predictable one. I did shed a couple tears at one point if that shows anything. :)

Was a great story full of action. Entertaining and well worth reading. I like long books so I did not find this too long at all. Kept my interest all the way through then I bought the second one and read it too.

This is a book that you won't be able to put down.The story and the characters are so interesting you'll feel the cold and fear that they feel you'll also feel the hatred that drove them on if you like horror stories you'll love this book

Very good description of wolves violent nature and prowess. Too much book space devoted to protagonists preparation toward combat withthe wolves but still worthy of my endorsement.

This book was so good , I didn't want it to end. I immediately purchased the next 2 books in the series.
