2 X 350W DIY Jigsaw 230V

Not too shabby at all. This is kinda a 3.5 stars for me, it loses half a star for the brand name, which is always hit and miss. The upside is, there is a 3 year warranty on the saw for manufacturers defects, so if motor dies and you have registered it online the factory will replace or refurbish the tool. Just note you will have to contact Silverline directly not Amazon or Amazon marketplace seller.The blade that it comes with is terrible, bin it and don't risk damaging the tool. As another reviewer pointed out it is not set up and you need to adjust the slide and stabilizer on the bottom before use. I have had success with both U-shank and T-shank blades. T-shank seem to do better than the U-shank, that said what blades are intended for it are a mystery. The manufacturer states T-shank yet they send a U-shank in the box? It does come with an extra set of brushes so if it stops working try replacing those first, just like you would in a cars alternator. Although I am guessing most people are not that savvy today and spend most of their free time wasted on mobile devices.....

This is a nice little light duty DIY saw, but definitely should never be over-loaded, just go slowly and let it do the cutting, take it easy and never ever force it,When it arrives it will be very badly set up with a poor blade, so buy some decent blades to use with it, throw away the duff blade that comes with it.To set it up properlyFirst, fit a good blade in the jaws [the front plastic cover will 'pop out' ok if you are gentle with a small screwdiver, but do remember to pop it back in when the blade is in place]Then turn the Saw over, turn it upside down and slacken the hex nuts on the base, and push the roller assembly forward until it's against the back of the blade, to give it support and direction when cutting!This is all not done in the factory, nor is it in the instruction book, just from someone who understands tools!

Had few pieces of wood laying around and since it was rather difficult to buy from Ikea and get it delivered I thought I'll make my own vinyl shelf. Using it was really easy. If there's one issue I can point out it is connection to vacuum. Mine vacuum had too big end so it wasn't any good. But a bit of celotape and that was it. Blade where good for its purpose and it was easy to replace them.Everything was steady and easy to use. For its price it is a great tool. No need to buy more expensive one if you just like me, doing a bit of diy frome time to time.

I purchased item as I needed it to make a hole in my pvc door for a cat flap .. item comes with a blade which literally snapped within first minute of me using item then I got the t shank Bosch blades and it struggled to even cut with high quality blades the power wasnt strong enough my friend borrowed me his battery powered jigsaw which was more powerful and within seconds I had cut through the panel. I would recommend you check power of item and dont be led into buying item because its priced lower then others as clearly there is a reason for this.

It's OK for the price, cuts through thick bits of wood with some elbow grease. There was one blade included that I am still using. A lot more noisier and vibration than expected which tends to throw off the cut. So I wouldn't say you could get a really accurate cut with it. The wire is long enough for general use.I think if you were looking for a very accurate cut, a better machine would be a better investment.

Used this brill little saw to cut through an external door to fit a cat flap and it made short work of it.I bought some better quality blades but the 1 blade supplied did seem fairly sturdy.Overall for the price I would definitely recommend this for the average DIY enthusiast
