Good but.......enough is enough. Goodbye "Band of Boring Pirates".
I think I've come to the end of the road with this series. It started well and I'm afraid its all become a bit of a yawn fest.Skippy tells Joe "ahem, you're very much not going to like this" and its back to the same old "the ships going to break", "we've been detected", "all humans are going to die", "no Joe, we cant do it like last time because we don't have enough power, missiles, oxygen or interest".Some of the narrative gets a bit long winded, you can easily skip chunks of pages as Joe and Skippy talk absolute bollocks about nowt. It's been great but this "Band of Boring Pirates" should have returned to Earth a long time ago.

Lightweight fantasy
Easy reading and keeps you interested in the characters. Left me wanting more but NOT audio book. Why no Kindle edition for later books.

Some of the best Inter-Galactic story writing out there!
After 6 books and one novella, the story still seems as a fresh as a daisy! The characters are really developing now into rich personalities who totally make for gripping reading. I can hardly wait for the next instalment and if Craig is reading this.... Please do a couple more Ex-Force stories too... I loved how book 3.5 fitted so neatly into the bigger story. Surely there is so much to explore there? Anyways - I'm loving this and totally looking forward for news of the next book.

Another fantastic book in the Skippy and Joe adventure.
If you like we'll written military sci-fi, with a good story and very funny interaction between the main character, Joe and his ancient AI companion, then read this series. The story is further enhanced by the brilliant narration performance of RC Bray. Although the next instalment (book 6) has been released in kindle format, I will wait for the Audible version as I think the narator adds so much more to an already fantastic series.

Zero Hour
With a mega intelligent beer can I was hoping for more annihilation of the abundant bad beings. That's why only 4 stars. Skippy too obnoxious too often. Otherwise an enjoyable read. Capt Courageous character is underwhelming under confident. It's overplayed.
