Enchanting the Elven Mage: Kingdoms of Lore, Book 1

Wow, I can’t get enough and this is easily gonna be one of my top books of the year! There was epic world-building, deception and political games, fairy tale vibes, and incredible characters that combine to create an incredible story that sucks you in completely. Aury’s underdog vibes mixed with her spirit and determination, but softer edges feels relatable and leaves you rooting for her. Filip is guaranteed to leave you swooning and his witty charm and respect for Aury captured my heart completely. I also couldn’t get enough of their flirting or the banter between Filip and his men (which kept me cracking up). Additionally, the romance and friendship examples depicted in the story are great examples of healthy relationships for teen readers without feeling forced. This is the kind of story that you don’t want to end and leaves you begging for more of these characters! Bring on the next book!

This a decent fairy tale retelling and interesting enough to buy the next book.The parents of the both the prince and princess needed a bit more screen time as I think both were horrible parents and did not love their children at all.A little more character development would’ve helped a lot.Mixed feelings, but interesting enough.

This cute re-imagining of sleeping beauty puts the fairy tale on its head and turns it inside out. Our princess is tough and strong willed with no love for the parents that his her away with no knowledge of who she was and never bothered to check up on her. So when the not so loving parents show up and tell her she is to be married to an Even Prince and that she has a bit of magic flowing through her veins, she tells them what they can do with it. The story goes on from there as she learns what she is truly capable of..

Can’t wait for the next story in this series. I read this book in about 6 hours, and loved it!

I adored the Dragon's Rising world, and absolutely could not wait to go back! Aury is a princess who finds out, surprise, that she is to marry an Elven prince, which goes over about as well as one would expect. Oh, and she has powers! Prince Filip isn't exactly thrilled about it either, but takes an entirely different approach. As I've learned from reading Alisha Klapheke's previous series, her world-building is always on point, and this is no exception! She has created characters that you can't help but adore, and creates banter between the characters that makes you literally bust out laughing. The romance is absolutely precious! I loved every second of this and can't wait for book 2!

This was such a wonderful read! The world building had great detail and the push and pull of the MCs was just about perfect. I was excited to see that there will be another book in this series coming soon. Definitely can't wait.

I completely loved this book. the premise was interesting, the characters were fantastic. Aury had every right to be...miffed is the word I will use. I would have done something similar to her, trying to prove myself and garner my independence. Something she was never allowed. Filip I could understand despite his entirely different approach to their forced relationship. He was born and bred knowing he would do what he had to to help his people and given a direction he followed that path. You can't fault Aury for feeling differently. in fact it is easy to agree with both sides and hope they can find a happy middle. From start to ending loved it all. I so want more of their story! The future they have. its the only downside to the series the books do not continue from their POV!

Loved it....it reminded me alot of sleeping beauty but with a twist....it made you feel like you were right there with them...I was hooked from beginning to end. I cant wait for the second book to come out to see how the story continues.

When Aury finds out she has to marry a blood thirsty elf, she tries everything she can to get out of the arranged marriage. Maybe she will find true love one day... or more likely go through life with a frozen heart.This 'fairy tale' is brilliant, it has magic, dragons an evil witch! I couldn't ask for more... well, except for more books like this.

A delightful change of the classic tale of sleeping beauty with just the right amount of key classic points with interesting twists to the tale.

Really enjoyed reading this book! I have already downloaded the second one ready!!Love the story and the characters. Simply brill

I can imagine a young teenager might have enjoyed this- the story is very simple, the writing and language is basic, and limited characterisation. I gave up about a quarter in.
