Works well, fits Shimano BR-M575
I'm brand new to mtn biking, got a used bike for cheap, needed to address spongy brakes. Got this kit for like $15 or $20 and followed the instructions from a youtube video for a brake bleed. Worked well and my brakes are much better now.Note that the included paper instructions are confusing and reference a lot of parts that didn't come in my kit. The kit I got included everything I need (funnel/stopper, syringe, hose), as well as some stuff I didn't use.Worth mentioning I probably did an abbreviated process. Just threaded the funnel on the bleed fitting at the brake lever, loosened the bleed valve on the brake, and used the syringe. Shimano has a video where they do that, then they bleed like 3 more times in alternating directions, but I didn't seem to need to go that far. 5 mins each and I was done and my brakes feel great.

Good kit!
Good kit. Comes with everything you need. Some of the included bits were confusing or unnecessary. It’s not a perfect system but gets the job done. The amount of mineral oil included is just barely enough for one bleed so order more if it’s your first time.

Great option to fix hydraulic disc brakes
I purchased this kit as I was having all kinds of problems with my hydraulic disc brakes on my ebike. I am not an expert on fixing bikes, but a few videos showed me all I needed to fix my problems. This kit has everything you need to bleed your brakes. (getting air in the brake line out) It comes with mineral oil as well, which was an added bonus. Before purchasing though, be sure to check which fluid your bike uses. There are ones that use mineral oil and ones that use DOT brake fluid. Putting the wrong fluid in your bike will completely result in hundreds of dollars, since you would need to replace your entire brake system. I give this a great rating based on price and usefulness

Everything you need
Really just bought this kit because the brake oil alone is almost the same price, might as well pick up all the tools for the job for an extra buck or two. Watch a quick youtube tutorial and youll have your brakes bled in no time!

The most high level repair I made on my MTB...No problem!!!
Watched a couple videos fro confidence and it worked like a charm...Break is very firm, and it took about 15 minutes. I never would attempt this but all the shops are booked now and I wanted to try...The instruction were ridiculous, they were missing a page or two, or just only paid the translator for an hour. there are a couple videos for this unit, but check out the longer ones to avoid mistakes...Some bikes have a valve on the caliper nipple, mine had a set screw on top to control the bleed. Everything you need is there, fits great, the fluid will do 3-4 bleeds, and I think next time I can do it in half the time...

Not compatible with common Shimano MT200 brakes
One of the most Common of Shimano brakes are the MT 200s yet this kit does not even have the blocks for changing the oil in them. Other people have written that this kit is not compatible with modern Shimano brakes at all so why are you selling it as if it is I now have to find the right kit for my bike I’ve wasted time and moneyInstructions are written in gibberish totally incoherent English and what little I can make out they referred-to a completely different kit this is just garbage

Add bleeding blocks to this kit
Not clear instructions. I had to buy a separate bleeding block as it is not included (but it may work if you are replacing the pads as the will keep the caliper wide open). All other parts worked. I did not need to use the empty bottle to get the job done.

Tried, Failed, took it to the Shop
The media could not be loaded. I thought I’d be able to watch a video on how to do this and save a trip to the bike shop...WRONG! I did a lever bleed ok but didn’t really change the brake performance. So, I then tried an all out full bleed which was a royal disaster. My brakes were worse off than before and I ended up taking it in to let a pro handle.Decent product but bleeding your own brakes is kinda like changing your own oil in your car...sure you can do it, but for the same $$ you can let a pro handle with a lot less mess and cursing.

Good product, exactly what I was looking for.
Easy to use, instructions are straight forward and parts and fitment are perfect for the job. Exactly what I was looking for.

Good product
Purchased the kit for my Shimano XT brakes. They were in serious need of a bleed and this helped. Too bad it doesn't come with a case for storage.

Does everything you need it to.
Bought this to be able to bleed my Shimano brakes. It was more than up to the job at a great price. Lots of extras I didn't need yet but good to have them.

Only thing this is worth is the oil. The rest is a waste.
Syringe is a waste as it doesn't seal to the tube and any pressure it leaks. The pad spacer did not come as shown so the only good part was the oil, glad I bought two different kits as I would not have been able to bleed breaks or at least do it well with this kit.
