AlternativeMen's Eco Zip Lightweight Hoodie

Here's the problem with this little number: Just like age, the size listed on the tag is nothing but a number. It's mind boggling, actually. And it's quite disappointing, what with how dam comfortable these things are. I mean, so comfy. But again, it's a crap shoot. I ordered a blue sweatshirt size large (I'm 6'3", 195 lbs.) and it wasn't too small, but I could've used another inch or so in length. Because I liked it so much I kept the one I got and ordered another one in green in the XL size. It arrived and I was dumbfounded to find that it is smaller than the large. Checked the tags, checked my invoices, no problem with those. Everything was as expected except that the larger size was smaller. I mean, unless each color comes with it's own, different, size chart (they don't) the explanation for this most likely that they don't care. I mean, they've clearly sold a ton of these. Not sure who get's stuck with shipping costs (Amazon or the product company) but I have to imagine it's Amazon, as the returns for this thing must be at an otherwise untenable number if the company were to be footing the bill. As it stands, I'm sending back the "XL" for a "XXL" in hopes that it's bigger than the large, but half expecting it to be even smaller than the "XL".

I ordered three colors of this sweatshirt. The black and blue ones were the correct lightweight material I expected based on the description (and previous purchase). The purple one which came from a different vendor, was regular sweatshirt material. Correct brand, wrong description....purple was not lightweight material. You can see in the photo, the purple is fuzzy sweatshirt material and the blue one is not. The fit is good and the sweatshirt is still nice, it's just not the sweatshirt that was described.

I ordered 3 of these. They each shipped at different times, had very different prices for each color, and were frankly, quite different products. The most expensive one was green and it's not a lightweight hoodie at all. Fabric is probably 3 times the thickness of the much less expensive black one I received first. Not returning it because it's a fine hoodie for colder weather, but just know that the more expensive of these may be thicker material than you were expecting.

Very soft fabric, I get compliments on that aspect from anyone who touches it. I would call this trim fit as it’s tapered in the waist.I have no criticisms to offer. The stitching is on point, the zipper glides easily, the cut of the fabric leaves a little room in the chest and shoulders giving great range of motion while tapering in the arms and waist for a fit athletic look. Very light weight fabric makes it great for summer evenings and layering without adding bulk. finally the hood has no strings which I prefer.

I'm a slim guy (about 6'3", 160 lbs), and the large I ordered fits me quite well. The shoulders fit perfectly, and the sleeves run just past my wrist. It's not form-fitting for me, but it doesn't make me look like a kid wearing my dad's clothes. It's been through the wash a few times, and all of the seams appear to be solid. The zipper travels well.It's very lightweight, which is exactly what I wanted. It is, basically, a hoodie made from t-shirt fabric (very soft and comfortable t-shirt fabric). The "Midnight" color that I got is nice, though I question whoever thought that "Midnight" was an appropriate name for what I would consider to be slate blue. Nomenclature aside, I like it enough that I've ordered two more in different colors. With its weight, it is ideal for layering.

It's a good medium green color (sometimes green garments look garish & clash with everything else, or they're too military looking). Shipping was quick, and the item is constructed well enough. The jersey is a little on the stiff side though - it's not bad, but I'd prefer a softer feel. The one disappointing thing was the heaviness of the metal zipper. That's a little harsh to the touch, also visually prominent with it's white fabric structure. The zipper remains unhidden whether it's open or closed. I don't mean the photo is misleading, it's just that some similar garments I own have better zippers - less obtrusive.

The fit is close, but inconsistent. The back rides higher than the front.It came with a bad, industrial smell to it that won't go away. I keep washing it to get rid of the smell, but it's still there. Any other clothing I put near this thing ends up smelling like a chemical plant.The material is really thin. I don't expect this is going to last even one season, especially since I keep washing it hoping the smell will go away.The company also spammed me with tons of emails requesting a review. Well, here it is. :|

I really wanted to like this hoodie, but I hate it. I was expecting a thin hoodie, but it was so thin it was almost sheer. It seemed as if it could have have torn extremely easily. I have bought better lightweight hoodies that I purchased for less.The zipper on the hoodie was very cheap. I had trouble getting it to fit together when I was trying the hoodie on and it didn't seem to be stitched to the fabric very well either. This product has many good reviews, so maybe I just got a lemon? I doubt it though. You can find better lightweight hoodies for the same price. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.

La compré para mi hijo y le quedó muy bien. Es muy delgada, así que es práctica para caminar cuando hay sol, y te protege los brazos. La talla viene justa, así que si se quiere utilizar con ropa gruesa, debe pedir una talla más.

In terms of weight and material it is exactly what I wanted and expected. Unfortunately the medium was way too large on me. I am 5'9" and 150 lbs lean but this was too big in every respect including too long. The bottom of the hoodie ended below my bottom which is way too long. According to the size chart, this should have fit me perfectly.

I purchased the black version and it fit nice and was exactly what I was looking for so I ordered the red as well. Unfortunately it was almost a size smaller the the original but still tagged the same. Very inconsistent and disappointing.

I'm 6'2" and 225lbs. Ordered an XXL. It was clingy and snug on the arms (and I don't have bodybuilder arms). It is lightweight material, which was great, but all and all too small/snug. XL is a proper fit for me most times, so an XXL should have been loose and baggy all over.
